Hey Everyone-

I am in the process of packing my bags for a three day trip to DisneyLand.

I had planned this trip because Tara has been feeling mighty low after moving to Los Angeles and I desperately wanted to do something to cheer her up...

We were almost there. Tara has been in a more positive mood of late and has a plan to attend school to train to teach Yoga. She actually had 5 or 6 days without shedding a tear...that is until yesterday: Planned Parenthood called and said her pap was abnormal and that they've detected pre-cancerous cells. She has an appointment on Thursday..and all we can do is wait to see.

Please everyone....send your prayers and thoughts our way. It's almost too much for me to take and I need to be strong for her sake.

Thanks all
Rosie

Oh Rosie, I hope and pray this is just some sort of glitch with the test!

Let us know!

Prayers on the way. I hope you do enjoy your stay. The best part of your bad news is that they said precancerous. That means that there is a lot that can be done to keep this from becoming a larger problem. It's good that she goes for annual visits because they allow the docs to treat before it's tragic.

Rosie - I'll keep you and Tara in my prayers. Keep strong and take care of yourself so you can be there for her. Please let us know what happens.

Thank you ...I'm just so numb. Having to wait for answers is just the worst part. It could be nothing....and if it's something I want to know NOW!

We have agreed it's a good thing we're going to Disney..it'll help distract us somewhat and when we scream off our heads (on the thrill rides) no one will know we're screaming to let off steam.

Thanks again. It's good to have friends

Tara and I had three wonderful days at Disney. We rode several rides that we'd never been on before such as the Matterhorn and Roger Rabbits Toon Spin. It was nice to forget about the real world for a while.

Yesterday Tara had a biopsy done. It's hard to know what exactly is happening because the medical team is so vague. They don't use the word cancer although when pressed they say "precancerous", testing for degree of mutation. Apparently this HPV virus has caused dysplasia and even if it does not develop into cancer now, there's no getting rid of it and she will always have to be on her toes. We'll know in two weeks how we'll have to proceed. I feel so helpless but everyone says it's in the early stages and should be very treatable...(again, no one says what "it" is).

Sorry to be so heavy.....just wanted to check in with friends.

For some reason I started thinking about you and Tara on my ride to work this morning and I was wondering if you had any news. Keep focused on the positives - I know it's hard but that's all you can do. Thanks for posting the update and let us know when you hear more.

:grouphug: **HUGS* to you and Tara. This is a rough thing to go through I know. My prayers go out that you get good news and that everything will be OK. :grouphug:

Oh Rosie....

Hugs and prayers!

Glad you had a great time, isn't the Matterhorn a blast!

Hope to hear good news from you soon!

Oh gosh, I've just seen this thread, Rosie. {{{hugs}}} I surely hope all works out for your Tara's health. It's so good that you were able to be there with her during this scary time.

Please know that all sorts of "every good wish" are headed her way, and your's too! {{{hugs}}}

Lots of pixie dust headed towards Tara's way, mixed in with good thoughts. :)

Oh Rosie --

My heart goes out to you and Tara. What a difficult thing for a young woman to go through. You are both in my prayers.

 for you and  for Tara.

Thank you so much..I truly believe in the power of prayer and positive thinking. To have all of you wishing Tara and I well will have a profound effect on the outcome..I am sure of it.

Today we went to visit the Yoga school she'll be attending in a few weeks and I think it'll be good for her to have the focus and meditation in her life. The director and instructor are both aware of her cicumstance and have assured her they will work with her and whatever Dr appts she may have.

We then went to stare at the ocean for a bit...my second favorite thing only to Disney.
We also are going back on Monday to spend another day at Disney..I even booked a cheap hotel so she won't have to drive back at the end of a long day (it's about an hour from where she lives)...

So, thank you once again..Tara is being very brave and I am so proud of her...as for me.....well.....I'm hanging in there and believing in dreams.
-Rosie

PS..I'll do a mini trip report with pictures when I get home.

Just a quick note to say things are well with Princess Tara. The test results reveal that the cells are arrested and that nothing further needs to be done at this time. She'll be checked again in 3 months.

She is still quite emotional about it (of course) she now fears that in three months the cycle will repeat itself...but I don't think so.

Let's Celebrate!!!! Here have a cappucino....

To everyone who reached out to comfort me, to everyone who silently gave us a thought, to everyone who said a prayer:

Thank you with all my heart.
-Rosie

Oh Rosie I'm so glad to hear the good news!:cool1:

(Is a pepsi OK? I'm kind of coffee'd out right now!)

Pepsi all around then!!!!

thanks Mike

Rosie, I can't tell you how happy I am for your Tara and you. {{{hugs}}}

I'll take one of those cuppas! :teeth:
