I forgot to write my review of the coveted pretzel, didn't I? That's what I get for doing 9 things at once! I did like it, but unfortunately....it was too cheesy and not enough spice for me, so while I would get it again, it's not something I would seek out. However! That just leaves more for you (and others!)

I LOVED it. In August (whenever I get to that TR!) I had the frozen mocha. Yum, yum, yum! That is my new favorite "Holy carppers, it's hot!" stand!

I am not a big fan of mocha, in fact I don't drink coffee or anything. I just never developed the taste.

You totally need that shirt, you would probably rock it better than I could.

I have the itch to update, so let's keep trekking through the AK!

We left off after eating lunch, admiring the Tree of Life, doing a bit of window shopping and then heading for the Safari.

On the way I noticed this guy

As we all do, I really enjoy these extra touches Disney puts in. It's not necessary to have this guy sitting there, making wood animals, but it really sets the atmosphere. Sarah and I marveled at his skills for a few moments before continuing on.

On the Safari...

I have a friend that lived in Africa for a number of years and when she saw this picture on my Facebook she told me she has this same bumper sticker!

I enjoy the Safari weather we see animals or not, but it's always a tad more fun when you get to see something up close...

Off the Safari and onto Pangani. I had one goal on the Pagani Forest Trail. See Baby Lilly. Was she out?

YES! SHE WAS!

I could have stayed there for quite a while, but the crowd around her end of the glass was thick, so I eventually moved on. I was thrilled that I had the opportunity to see her. She is completely adorable! I spoke to the CM very briefly who said she was doing very, very well.

Out to watch the other gorillas

This guy turned his back to us and sat that way for quite a while...we waited. And waited. And for one brief second...

And then he refused to look again for the rest of the time we were there, so I grabbed a couple shots of the gorgeous scenery.

After our time on the trail, guess where we found ourselves again?

Yep! A gift shop!

These are so pretty.

I had no plans to buy anything here-I was just browsing.

Then I spotted it.

I really liked this bag. It had lots of colors, so it would go with a ton of things. I tried it on. I put it down. I picked it back up.

Now, I blame it ALL on Sarah. LOL She was hemming and hawing over a purchase of her own, and should she have decided right away to buy or not, that bag would NOT have come home with me! We would have been in and out of the gift shop...but noooooo, she took a long time, which gave me time to think about the bag, and well. You know. It came home with me.

And Sarah ended up buying two bags at that shop!

I don't regret the purchase at all. I use that bag all the time!

Our wallets a tad lighter, we found ourselves back at the Tree of Life

I am pretty certain these were taken from the trail between Africa and Asia, because the very last thing we did before leaving AK was ride Kali!

As I had mentioned I have never done this ride before, and since this was a "RESEARCH" trip, I wanted to get in some never-dones! We had FPs, but the line for FPs was MUCH longer than the stand-by. Of course we didn't realize this until we were in line. It moved fairly quickly even still though and soon we were rafting down that crazy river. It was a blast!!! Neither one of us got too terribly wet, but just enough to cool us off. I think Henry will really enjoy this when he gets a bit older.

Another great update. It looks like it was a beautiful day in Animal Kingdom, what a pretty sky.

I'm glad you liked Kali, I'm not a huge fan of rides where I get wet so I generally avoid it though it is fun.

If you liked the bag enough to pick it up twice, you HAD to buy it. If you wouldn't have, the bag would have taunted you in your dreams saying "Why didn't you buy me ? I was ment to be your. " Just my personal shopping philosophy

I think Jack was 3 when he rode Kali. Henry should be big enough and he will love it.

Sounds like an awesome trip!!! I was at Disney end of aug and I SO want to go back, but no one to go with. I don't think I could do a solo trip, but you never know. I just don't think I'd enjoy it as much by myself.

You don't care for chocolate, the pretzel is too cheesy - I just don't know about you Brook!

I will agree that they would be even better if they had a bit more kick to them though

Really enjoying both of your trip reports!

I am also enjoying your pictures of All Star Movies, that was our first resort and we loved it. But it does need that refurb! The palm tree lined sidewalks at the All Stars are one of the many things I love about those resorts.
