Almost a DVC Member

Just talked to my guide today. Our 160 AKV Jambo house points just came through. We are getting a March use year $500. Visa card, $8.00 off a point. We will have points for 2008 plus 160 developer points we plan on using at Disneyland. I put the down payment on my Disney Visa. Even though my guide said that I could not get both the Visa rewards and the 500 visa gift card, I thought I would play it safe just in case.
We should be able to make reservations soon I am sooo excited to become a DVC member finally.
Though, I would love to know, has anyone actually received both the visa reward points and the visa gift card.

On the deal I brokered with my DVC rep in Dinseylan, Anaheim, he offered both a gift card and a $500 credit to my Disney Visa rewards after I played hardball and walked-out without a definate "yes" to becoming a member. So yes, it is possible, however it was for a 200 point AKV. Both the point package, resort and my walk-out could have been the difference.
