I am receiving the 12 days of cookies recipes from the Food Network by e-mail. There was one a few days ago for Almond brittle. I have plenty of sliced almonds, sugar and the water, but I can't find the almond oil. Anyone know if you have to go to a specialty store to get almond oil? I know almond extract has almond oil in it, but it also has alcohol in it.

The photo made this stuff look delicious.

hi,

there is a website called www.kitchenkrafts.com. you can get almond oil from there. they also have a catalog. lots of great things from them. hope this helps. :D

called the Fruit Bowl..they sell all kinds of produce, and baking supplies..they have all of those oils in the candy making section..perhaps you have a store like that near you?..I used the peppermint oil last year making peppermint bark..it has a much stronger flavor and taste than extract..good luck finding it!

Thanks, I will check out these types of stores.

Most craft stores have a cake decorating department you can purchase the oil in this department. They are the same as extracts with out the water, very concentrated. A drop of oil is the same as using a teaspoon of extract.

I purchase my oils at AC Moore.
