AllStars Mo or Pop

Ok, so right now we are booked at all stars movies. But after looking at all the picks from pop I'm starting to wonder. Can someone give me the differences between the two. I mean besides theme. I'm hoping for free dining and if it knocks me out of movies I might try pop. Thanks for any info.

Pop Century is a lot newer and doesn't share bus stops with any other resort. It's also very close to DHS and Epcot.

They are both value resorts so I would only expect theming differences. I was going to try POP but both DS's chimed in that we HAVE to stay at ASMo.

Pop is newer and the furnishings inside the room are a bit nicer. More of a wooden, roomier dresser and the tv is a 27" vs. a 20" that Movies has. The bed at Pop are on these platform things, so you can't store luggage underneath them. That is the one thing about Pop that drives me nuts. The value rooms are small and its nice to have that under bed storage area the All Star rooms have.

Pop doesn't share buses but its a huge resort and the All Stars are right next to each other. To me, its not a biggie that the All Stars share.

Pop's food court has an indoor bar and an outdoor bar, Movies has only an outdoor bar.

Movies is the only All Star that has not gotten its refurb yet. I love Movies, love the icons but have opted to stay at Music our next value stay and really hope the Movies rooms get an update soon. They aren't ratty at all but now that I have stayed at Pop and seen the picutres of the Music refurbbed rooms, I will probably not stay at Movies until it gets refurbed.

We've stayed at both and we all agree that we like Movies better...mostly because of the theming...
The resort rooms are the same...and I think because POP is busier, we probably waited less at the All Star bus stops then we did at POP. I think we also waited longer at check-in because there were more folks checking in at POP. But wait times are always the luck of the draw...they can vary from day to day.

I think you should decide which theming you like better and go with that one!

I think we waited longer for everything at POP - check-in, foodcourt, bus stop. At POP, the bed is closer to the door creating the illusion that the room is smaller, but it's not. And POP's plumbing is noisy. Since ASMo is older you're more likely to get a dripping faucet. The last two times we stayed there our bathtub dripped and on our last stay we had a sink faucet handle that would fall off if you weren't gentle with it. POP has a frozen Coke machine at the foodcourt. They're not significantly different. I like them both, but ASMo is my favorite.
