Hi,

We are staying at the ASMo in Oct.

I have stayed at Music before, this will be the first time at Movies.

Can anyone tell me about the Mighty Ducks bldg?

Which one is non-smoking?

Anyone have the room numbers to the bldgs?

Is there a quieter side to the bldg?

Sorry for all the questions, and thanks for any advice/help you can give.

:)

Happy trails!!!

We always ask for Mighty Ducks on every visit to the Movies. Actually last time when we checked in, the CM said she put us in Toy Story. I begged her to take me out of TS and move us to Mighty Ducks. MD is so very quiet, and it's like you have your own private pool. In the mornings we just walk across the street to the Food Court at the Music for a quick breakfast, especially since the Music is never as busy as the Movies. I also see lots of folks using the bus service at the Music too when staying in Mighty Ducks. We have been in the non-smoking building about 5 times recently. Not sure of the number but when you are walking from the food court towards the pool, it's the building on the Right.

Thank you so much!

Your help is greatly appreciated. I like the part about the swimming pool.

I was wondering how far the MD-bldg was to the Music resort. It sounds like it's really close and a short walk over to get something to eat. I never thought about catching the buses over there too. What a great tip!

Does anyone know if they have king beds in the Mighty Duck sections?

I haven't been there, and I'm also looking forward to an October visit. It seems for "quietness" the buildings to avoid are Fantasia and 101 Dalmations. Is that right? Are Toy Story, Love Bug, and Mighty Ducks all quieter than Fantasia or 101 Dalmations? I guess of the three Toy Story is definitely closest to the Movies bus stop. That's interesting you can go to the Music bus stop or food court from Mighty Ducks.

The building and room numbers can all be found here: http://www.wdwig.com/as_layout.htm And if you scroll about half way down the page you can click on maps of the complete building layouts.

Wow thanks again I'll check out the link, I'm amazed at how fast you can get answers to your questions here. DIS fans are the best! :)

I guess Toy Story would be quieter because there is not another building of people that walk through Toy Story. However, I would think that people are always requesting Toy Story, therefore, I bet it's always full. I think if I wanted quiet I'd go for Mighty Ducks or Love Bug. Mighty Ducks is also close to the laundry facilities.

Sorry to say, but the Toy Story section is no where near a quiet section. It is the most requested section of the Movies and almost everyone with kids request this section--they love Buzz and Woody and it's a great section for kids, especially the play area and it's near the playground. If you want quiet, don't go there. I leave that for the folks that want it. Walking to the A/S Music takes about 2 minutes, and much closer than the Movies food court. In the morning, how quickly I get my coffee is very important to me!! Laundry facility is at both pools, so there is a laundry room right at the Mighty Duck pool and is usually pretty quiet also. We were in the Mighty Duck section in May. Everytime we have stayed in Mighty Duck we have stayed in a King bedroom. We always ask and for some reason we have always gotten it. And, in case you don't know, it seems that whenever you get a King bedroom at the all stars you get a refrigerator. Of course it takes away 2 of the dresser draws because it's hidden in the dresser by a door. King rooms are considered handicap accessible and come with a roll in shower and a bathtub bathroom. We always request the bathtub rooms. Some may say that refrigerators are not in every king room, but I've been in more than 20 All Star rooms with king bed and have always gotten the frig. (And since it's permanent, there is no charge for it). I think I covered just about everything.

n2mm-Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Your advice had really helped me to decide on the Mighty Ducks bldg. I've never had a king room before, but will ask if one is available when checking in.

Does it matter which floor or what room to get that is closet to the vincinity of the Music food court? I'm a early riser, and enjoy walking over to get my morning juice and bagel for breakfast.

Do you like the MD-pool?

Actually the smoking building is closest to the Music food court-but they are just on either side of the pool. The MD pool is very simple. It's suppose to be a skating rink for the TEAM (MD). I love that this section is secluded.
