So I just called to see if a pin code was attched to my name ( We really want free dining!)
I told the Cm that other people on the board have been getting pins and wanted o see if i had one on my ressie. I did not but the Cm said " if a friend of mine has a trip book with that pin code during that dates we are staying at WDW they could extend the offer up to 3 ressie."

All my friend had to do is call and say we are traveling with so and so and would like to give them this offer as well.

SINCE WHEN?!?! I've never heard of this......
To bad i do not have a friend traveling in dec.. :sad2:

P.s. To anyone traveling over Dec7-14th on free dining pin Want a new friend?????:rotfl2: J/k

I take that to mean they could book up to 3 rooms in their name if they are traveling with a group.

The Cm said No.. if your friend is staying at the GF and your are staying at ASMo and the room is in your name all your friend has to do is call up and give them your name and ressie # and they will add it to your ressie... it doesn't matter what hotel, # of days, or where you are flying in from. As long as 1 day of your trips over laps.

I asked if he was sure and he told me that they do it all the time. :confused3

Had i known this it would have saved me A LOT of money on our last trip. we had 12 of us going and only 1 person got a pin

Well, when I booked the CM would not let me book a room for my mom with my pin code. She said we had to liv in the same house. Guess it just depends on who you get on the phone!

We did a Grand Gathering trip in Jan and had 3 rooms booked. Each room was booked under the name of an adult staying in that room. We were able to use 1 pin code that my MIL had for all the rooms.

So it sounds like the CM was right.... Wow nice to know for our next trip. Thanks......

Now all i need is a friend with a free dining pin!...waiting...waiting......
(cricket sounds in backround)
o well! guess i will just have to keep hoping that they release it to the public....

I got a 40% off deluxe resort pin code and I'm staying at the GF and was able to use the same pin code to make a reservation for a friend of mine that is staying at AK and she is not staying as long as I am. They told me I could use it for up to 3 reservations. I just told them to link her reservation to mine but they are still separate reservations.

I got a pin code for free dining in June after I made my initial reservation. I have 2 rooms (one for my mom) and when I called to get the pin code applied, the CM never said hey you have 2 ressie's linked, we can do both rooms. Once I thought about asking if she could get free dining too, the code had expired but they told me yes you could do up to 3 rooms. The CM I had that time was great and did try to find a comparable code but it would have cost me over $300 more to get her free dining. Didn't think it was worth it but have a friend who says I should call back and complain, any advice?

I'm new to the board and am a little confused about this thread. What is a 'pin code'?

Its a code linked to your name when you call WDW. It is a disount code. You can also get them by email. It is tied to you specifically for the discount.

I was told that ifthere is no ex. date and the dates have not past on the pin code that you can still get the discount.
I got an pin code for 40% off rooms and there was no ex. date.. i used it almost 2 months later.

Still Waitng.........
(((((((((((((cricket sounds continue... )))))))))))))))))))):rotfl:

We used a friends pin code when we went in 2008. They gave us a pin and were told that they could share it for up to 3 more reservations. The used if for 2 family members and gave it so us.. and I called to ask if I could use it, they said sure and didnt even ask for it!!! we got the cabins at 40% off!

We are traveling the 9-13th and I'll be your friend! I just don't have a pin code yet! I'll keep my eye out for one and let you know.

i assume your friends were on the trip as well.

i think there is some confusion on this thread. as far as i know, a pin can be used for more than one ressie, as long as the pin code holder has an overlapping ressie.

however, i am pretty certain that a person cannot just book or show up wiht someone else's pin code who is not on an overlapping trip.

Thats right!

I got a pin code for free dining last year that gave regular dining plan at value level. I was told by my agent at that time that I could extend the offer to 2 others but it had to be the exact same reservation dates, places, etc. as mine. My cousin was only staying for 5 nights but we were there for 11 so I couldn't give her mine. Would love to know if there is flexibility b/c we often travel around the same time as friends.

So does anyone with a 40% code want to be my 'friend' the week of 12/1 - 12/6??!!:lmao: Pool drinks on me!!:woohoo:
I have done everything to try and get this code - would love to upgrade with DGrD.

We've received the 40% PIN on our last several trips (and used it!). We have always had the ability to book three rooms with it (either on one trip or three trips throughout the eligible dates). Here are a couple examples of how we've used our PINs:

-We're going in December, and I have two rooms booked at the Poly so far. The PIN is under my name, but my mom is the lead guest on the second reservation.
-Last fall I made three different reservations for one trip (SSR, THV, BC) because we added days onto the beginning and end of our stay, and I received the 40% on all of them (I think SSR might have been 35%).
-In 2008, we used the same PIN for two separate (months apart) trips.
