Allowable Carryons???

I'm wondering if anyone has had a problem taking their curling irons in their carry on bags? Doesn't seem like it would matter, but I'm just wondering....

I've only flown once since 9/11, and since tomorrow is my second flight (to WDW of course!), I decided to check on this question. I went to the airport website and accessed the list of items prohibited in airplane cabins. Curling irons, hair dryers, or anything along those lines, were NOT on the list. So, after reading this, I would feel fine about bringing one in my carry on luggage. But, if you still have doubts, just call the #800 for the airline you are using.

We flew to Las Vegas, last month, and I had my curling iron. No problems! What did raise a red flag, and made my little back pack go through the x-ray machine a few times...with my camera and film in it...hopefully it didn't ruin it, was my lipstick! Apparently, it looked like a pocket knife on the screen!
