Wow, wouldn't expect that. I say alligators are always dangerous, does FL want more alligator attacks? But yeah, not "everything is a robot" as was said in the Roseanne episode
I actually remember being fooled by a snake in WDW when I was a kid. I was on Tom Sawyer's island and saw one sunning himself by the side of the path. I was amazed how realistic that snake looked so I reached down to touch him and he slithered away. After a brief heart attack, I chuckled about it, told a cast member, and went on playing.
On a previous stay at CSR I seen one of them in the lake.
The trick is: don't look like food. Here in FL we live with them. I see people water skiing in lakes with big gators, canoeing and kayaking in water with them. (I will not. I'm way to chicken!) My husband and son fish in ponds with 13+ feet gators. Only once did we ever had a problem with a gator. We were fishing and it went after the catch.
I don't really think the gators are interested in terrorizing resorts. We see them often at Saratoga Springs. It would be very easy for one to come on land and terrorize the resort there.
They are everywhere. At Shades of green, there is one at the main pond by the lobby. They had to put up a sign saying "don't feed the gators" b/c people do it! Once gators get fed by humans, they lose their fear and start approaching people for a "hand out"! Don't feed them cause they become nuisance. It's also illegal. If you want a great place to see AND feed gators, go to Gatorland.
Now snakes on Tom Sawyers - that place is crawling with them! Ick! Especially the tunnels. Indiana Jones would hate it!
