These 4 building look like they would be closest to the food court. Does anyone know if they are non-smoking? Has anyone stayed in one of these buildings? How was your experience?

I believe that buildings 18 and 38 are the only smoking buildings at Alligator Bayou.

Hi Spoisal! I emailed guest communications for the info for our son's family. If I hear from them I will post it for you.:)

14 and 15 I know are definitely non smoking. They are about a 5 minute walk to the food court. and a little longer to the main pool. The water views are beautiful from these buildings.

We stayed in building 14 in November. It was perfect. Close to the food court, parking lot and bus stop. I loved it. It was a non-smoking room.

Building 14 is the closest...but is sometimes held for families with a disabled member. This is a very popular building because of it's close proximity to the main buildings. Building 18 is a "smoking optional" building. We are non-smokers, but I loved the location of this building, so I requested it for our last trip. The CM at check in told me that if were not happy, she would gladly move us. She said that housekeeping uses a special spray that removes all smoke. I'm happy to say that the room was perfect - no trace of smoke on the drapes or the bed covers. I really liked this buidling because it has NO parking lot views. It is set back from the main walkway, so you don't get the constant traffic of people heading to the food court. There is a quiet pool and laundry facility right behind the building. The walk to the food court was no more than 5 minutes and the same for the main pool.

I would also recommend a 2nd floor room - then you won't have to worry about little ones running around overhead and disturbing you.

We're back to the bayou next week for our 4th visit and I feel like I'm "going home".;)

We have a ressie for POR in October. We are a party of 5, so I believe that means we will definitely be in Alligator Bayou, right? Given that, do all the buildings in this area have trundles, and if so can someone tell me some of the pluses and minuses of each.

We don't expect to use the food court much, but would like to be positioned conveniently to the bus stop, and probably the pool. We also don't want to be in an area that would be too noisy.

Also how many levels are in these buildings, and are there elevators?

Thanks a bunch.

snowmouse,

there are only 2 levels in each building. no elevator. so if you have a stroller I would request 1st floor, which is what i had to do.
