Allergy Room Cleaning

I am coming here today to ask if anyone has ever requested an allergy room cleaning before arrival for your room. After staying at ASSports a few weeks ago and waking up with a rash all over us it was suggested we request this closer to arrival. If you have had this done could you please let me know how to go about it. I am traveling with my cousin and we have asked for connecting rooms so it will need to be done as well. I requested an allergy fridge when I made the reservation - do I need a note? I forgot to get one from the allergist so I am hoping our primary will write one.

Never done this but my DS has asthma. All of the rooms at disney are now non smoking but a faint smell can sometimes last for years even if it has been cleaned well. If you can get ahold of an older copy of passporter wdw and look on the resort pages it will tell you which buildings used to house smoking rooms so that you can avoid them.

You shouldn't need to provide proof of medical need for something like a deep clean. I think they're fairly used to doing it, so you shouldn't have any problems, but I've not done it myself, so can't give you a personal experience. If I were you I would put the request in as soon as you can; phone about a week before you leave, to confirm that everything has been noted properly; then check with the CM that it has all been done when you check in.

Thanks; its noted but I will call again a week before and probably on my drive up and will speak to a CM upon arrival. We are staying at POP so I don't think any of those rooms have ever been smoking rooms.
