Allergies and the S/D

I keep thinking it would be fun to stay at the Swan and Dolphin resort. The location is great, the pool looks like fun, and it is about the same cost as staying at a Disney Moderate. The one worry I have is the down pillows and comforter. I am highly allergic to down. All I have to do is touch it for a minute, and I start to itch. If I tried sleeping on it, my eyes would swell up and I would have breathing problems. Not good!

Anyone else had this problem and still managed to stay at the S/D resort? Could you call and have them do a special cleaning on the room and the bedding?

I have allergies, but I haven't had a problem at the Swan (never stayed at the Dolphin). The pillows and comforter have bee just fine! And the beds, like I posted on another thread, are WONDERFUL!!!!

DW has allergies to down as well. We stay at the Dophin quite often and call down to housekeeping for foam pillows when we check in each time. The comforter we don't use so we just leave it on a chair each night. I don't think you should have a problem getting what you need. You might make a request when you make the reservation if it would help you "sleep" easier while planning.
