well, alright, maybe not Disney itself...just the air conditioning systems.
I noticed, our first morning at Disney, my 5yo coughing and stuffed up. I shrugged it off, thinking it was just from travelling. By about 10am she was perfectly fine. The next morning, even worse...coughing so hard, we sought out medical attention. Noone could really help us, but we were advised to get her some Bendadryl. (Thank goodness for Bendadryl!!) Then, at Busch Gardens, we waited in line forever it seems to see Bill Cosby live...got inside, about 10 minutes after they closed the doors BAM dd is immediately stuffed up and coughing and can't breathe. Out we go, and after being in the fresh air for awhile, it let up.
To get to my point, it's the air conditioning, as near as we could summize. We were only in the hotel room long enough to sleep, and that's when it began. You can't turn off the ac, only turn it down, and you can't exactly prop open your door for fresh air all night.
At home, turns out she's allergic to mold. Her dr said the ac most likely is run somehow differently that ours up here (not that we need a lot of ac in Maine), and bc of the humidity in FL, the mold content is alot higher.
So, next trip, Claritin and/or Benadryl is coming with us.
