Allegiant Air

Does anyone know anything about AllegiantAir? THey are starting a new route very near us at the end of this month with a direct flight to Sanford. So far, for our Oct. trip they are the cheapest. Just wanting to know others experiences with them. Also, does anyone know, if you rent a car through Alamo through Allegiant Airs site, do all same rules, etc. apply, such as unlimited miles, etc. New to all this, so any help would be appreciated.
