Yup, yup, yup! I love my Allegiant Air! It is bare bones, you pay for checked bags and seat selection (you can change your seat to a cheaper one at least, it's a sliding scale, depending how far back in the plane your seats are). Just be careful about the FlexTicket option, it is automatically added to your bill. You have to unselect the box if you don't want it.
We're flying down $69 each way next month, so after taxes and seat selection, it came to about $200 return.
Sanford-Orlando airport is an extra 30 min. drive vs. MCO (Orlando) airport. We sometimes book our car with an offsite agency if our flight comes in before 6 pm or 4 pm on a Saturday. There's a Budget a $10 cab ride away, it saves about $100 on our car vs. at the airport.
Yes....we're pretty economical. More $ for Disney!
No complaints about the service, tho. But DO pay attention to how many tickets are offered at the "sale" price. You can call the 800 #, then book on-line to avoid the "live person ticket lady" fee. Or you can plug in your # of tickets and see how many you can get before the seats go up in price. Example: the web shows a price for $99, you plug in 4 seats, but the price is more expensive than you thought. Odds 1 or 2 seats are regular price, and you bought the last 2 remaining sale seats.
And that's all I have to say about that (Forrest Gump)......
