Allegiant Air

Would anyone be willing to share their experience with Allegiant Air? They are fairly new in my area and have great prices on non-stop service. Yet, I noticed they fly into the Orlando/Sanford airport instead of Orlando International. Therefore we would not be eligible for the Magical Express and would have to arrange transport on our own.

We flew them last year. The outgoing flight was on time and unremarkable...just like any other airline. The Sanford airport is a very manageable size. We rented a car to get to WDW. The majority of the rentals are inside the terminal and cars are in a parking lot within walking distance of the rental desks. Very accessible. The drive time was about one hour. Be sure to have some change available to pay tolls. Our return flight was a bit delayed but we weren't in a hurry to return home! If you don't mind the inconvenience of renting a car and driving an hour to WDW (instead of the ease of ME), it is worth the price. Have fun!

I agree with the PP. Flight was fine, Sanford Airport was nice, and renting a car was cheap and easy. We were delayed both ways due to thunderstorms, but that has nothing to do with the airline.
