Can anyone please tell me their experience with this airline? We'll be flying out of Stewart/Newburgh and have never used this airline. Are they safe, on time, reliable, etc.
Thank you in advance,
Jim
My brother and family flew out of Lansing, MI on Allegiant and had no problems at all. Their plane was on time both ways. They landed at Sanford not MCO but the drive to their hotel wasn't too bad, about 40 minutes. They rented a car right at Sanford and the car place actually opened just for their arrival (it was late evening).

Just got back today and had a WONDERFUL experince with Allegiant Air. We arrived ahead of schedule both times! The smaller airport was easy to maneuver with small children. We did rent a car, but the AAA discount was great. I highly recommend this airline and you can get some really great rates, too. They do not have complimentary food or beverages, so we packed our own, but they do have snacks and drinks available for purchase. We will definitely fly Allegiant again!
So funny we just booked tickets ourselves yest on Allegient out of Newburgh/Stewart and was wondering myself how they were, end of April, good prices tho. A year or so back we had tickets at Stewart for Orlando on Southeast and about a week or so bf our trip they went belly up! Luckily I had booked with my AmX card which I always have great luck with and got our money back and was able to rebook in LaGuardia on Jetblue. So hopefully all will go well this time!
The fact that you can fly in/out of Sanford .vs. MCO is enough in itself to fly this airline. We flew Transmeridian last trip, but they've pulled out of the regional airport near home, so now that Allegient took over the Orlando route,we've booked with them. Tickets were about $175 pp but there's a special being advertised over TV and I'm going to call Monday to see if it applies to our June/July dates. I'm satisfied with the price, though. Last trip we flew for $79 but I don't hold out for anything near that rate this summer. Sanford is such a stress-less airport as you're able to get your bags and out to the limo in record time. Takes about 60 minutes to get to the ASMo, which is our home-away-from-home.
