Allegiant Air?

Anyone have experience with Allegiant Air out of Allentown? I don't mind flying into SFB, but am leary about this airline given what has happened to many charter airlines out of both Allentown and Wilkes-Barre in the past couple of years.

We fly from ABE too. I thought about using them for our upcoming trip but decided against it - just too worried that one day they will be gone like others have been.

We usually fly Delta to MCO from ABE, but we got a pretty good fare on Usair thru Charlotte - 217.00

Our closest airport is Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. But with a 1yo we need a direct flight. We've been doing Airtran out of PHL because of this. I'd love to avoid the 2hr drive from home to PHL if I can, but like you, I'm leary of an unexpected shutdown.

Allegiant is both a charter and a commercial airline. Given that they're expanding their destinations, I really don't think you'll have a problem. They're based in Las Vegas, and I'm just waiting for the day they start fliying there from Portsmouth, NH... not that they're planning to...
