I was just checking the Allegiant Air website and noticed they had updated their home page saying they now have flights available through 12/15.

I then found the following announcement about route adjustments: "Some of our destinations are affected by a seasonal route adjustment or late-summer schedule reduction for a short period of time."

I thought some of you might like to see if your local airport is affected (mine is). :(

I just read that earlier today as well. Our airport is also affected. The bad thing is, we have vouchers for a flight that was cancelled out of Sanford when we were in Orlando in March. I keep trying to decide if I should try and work a trip in just to use the vouchers or wait until next Spring. I'm afraid if I don't use them, I'll end up paying $100's in addition to the vouchers value and/or run the risk of them pulling out of our airport and/or going out of business. If I decide to use them later this summer, they'll be in business for the next 400 years. That seasonal disclaimer just came up in the past day or two because I have been monitoring their site, waiting for them to post the Sept fares. I'll have to check again because when I looked this morning they did not have fares posted past the middle of August.

By adjustment, I guess they mean no flights at all. SGF has 5 flights a week to orlando in july, shifts to 4 a week, and then by mid-aug only 2 a week. No flights in sept. And in Oct, back to 2 a week. Flights to Vegas aren't affected. Flights to Tampa...2 a week now, then none for sept, oct, and 1/2 of nov. Really weird to just add them back around thanksgiving.

I guess they're doing what they have to do. We often go in September, so we've had to cross Allegiant off our list.

I just checked Allegiant. For my dates 11/21-11/28, the fare is $298. I booked my fare on Continental a few months ago and I my fare was cheaper. I am also allowed two checked bags since I booked before the change. I am glad I didn't wait for Allegiant.:thumbsup2
