I'm considering being sucked in but I was just wondering what seals the deal for YOU? What makes it worth the extra money? What makes it SO much better than a standard room? Bring it on! ;)

We went to Poly in May and stayed concierge level, GV and loved it. I loved the location of the Hawaii building, the view from the concierge lounge in the am and for the fireworks. I loved the music with the fireworks show. I loved the staff in cl lounge. Chef Dick was awesome. I loved the offerings: breakfast, snacks (all day) and eve. I loved, loved , loved the assort of deserts and the wine/beer etc.... offered. I love the fact that the cl staff got us had to get ressies to princess breakfast in MK. I'd been calling for about 2 1/2 months w/out sucess. I loved that every time I stepped out of the room (a.m. and eve) it was cleaned. I could have pulled my own blankets back but it was a real treat to be pampered and come back to a room with blankets pulled back, lights on and choc. treats on pillows. I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of stuff. Enjoy your trip.

Can you expand more on the snacks and offerings in the evenings? I'm thinking that it would be worth upgrading to the concierge just for the amount I would save on meals and snacks. We always have a lite breakfast, lunch we could eat in the parks, then dinner could be heavier type snacks back at the lounge. Do they have bottled water? Thanks!

Each each night Chef Dick makes something different for the eve. I just can't remember exactly.....I know it's on the boards because I've seen the post given in great detail. I can tell you that there is enough out to fill up on. In fact we just sampled but didn't need dinner. By the time we felt we could eat again cl was putting out snacks for the fireworks show. We did eat lunch in the parks.

Thanks, just one more question. Is there any garden view rooms to stay away from, that you know of? Do they all look out on to the quiet pool? Thanks again! !

I like that when you check in if your room is ready, which is has been past 2 trips, then the bellman brings you right to your room where you can relax a few minutes-even grab a snack from the lounge before you have to deal with the paperwork.

I also love that one adult can take the kids to the lounge in the morning while the other gets ready for the parks. I like the lounge offerings and especially like the convenience of getting milk and juice boxes for the kids without having to run the the snack bar. I also liked that they had paper coffee cups with lids so you could grab a cup of coffee as you headed out for the day.

I like the turndown service (available by request at all deluxe resorts not just concierge). Not only to they turn down the bed and leave chocolates but they bring fresh towels and best yet with a kid in diapers they empty the trash.

I liked that they were able to mail a package of stuff home to me. I used a box I had sent stuff to the resort in but they could have gotten me a box and supplies if needed too.

I like that you need a key to get into the building-makes me feel safer.

I LOVED the cake they ordered for my DS's birthday at CP and then they surprised him with a cake in the room too complete with party noisemakers-what better way to spend a birthday-at WDW and 2 cakes!

My DD LOVED the strawberries, PB&J's and cookies. My DS LOVED the mini-muffins.

Luckmommyx2-the concierge services no longer offer bottles of water for the parks. The Poly has glass bottles of water that you can take to your room. I'm doing a limo this next trip and will do a grocery stop and buy bottles of water, Pepsi for my DH, chips for DH, and cheese slices for DD (they have cheese at lounge but DD likes Velveeta slices). For the evenings they had cheese & crakers and veggie dip everynight. The offerings vary but I remember chicken satay, chicken lomein, ribs, ...everything was great! They also had soup-the homemade chicken noodle soup was delicious! I can't help you with the GV question as I've always stayed LV. I keep saying I should try GV but with the kids so young I want to be able to see EWP & fireworks from the room.

Thanks everyone! I've put in a quote request to DU. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!! :sunny:

What sold me...

Having a 6 yr old and 18 month old and the convience of getting food now was awesome, and when DS wants to eat he wants it now.

Plus being diabete Chef Dick made sure I was taken care of my whole stay, Sugar Free desserts every night just for me.

The endless drinks, fruit and cookies helped us just fine.

There was plenty of other things but these were most important.

Oh yeah, I keep forgetting about those amarreto's.
