All you Ding experts

Should I expect to see a Ding for flights going in May, this early? Basically I can't check dings at my work location (they have that blocked but not you tube, etc. go figure) and so I get a little antsy if they are coming out with dings in May.

i am no expert but i think it is really early. The current dings are for Jan 09... I am waiting for February, so i think you are weeks away...JMO though,

Nope; waaay too early for May. I'm still waiting for Feb. 1st and I'm hoping they'll be as good as the ones today ($59-64)! I'm guessing that the Feb. Dings will start up closer to the end of December.
Right now, SWA isn't offering anything beyond Jan. (oh where did those $24/OW Dings go ).

we booked the ding for Jan 30 but now waiting for Feb 6th

I'm still hoping to get a Ding for 1/4 and 1/11 PHL/MCO and MCO/PHL. We do have $180 rd trp so I'm not really complaining.......but, to echo DVCGrammy....where did those $39/$49 Dings go (PHL/MCO)..........for the past three years I haven't paid more than $127 rd trp......usually less. I guess since it now costs us about $500 monthly to gas our cars (DH commutes 80 miles rd trp per day and needs 4 wheel drive because of the area he needs to drive...I only fill up about once every three weeks).......it must cost a whole lot more to gas 737's!!!

I have had great luck re-checking my flights on Wed and Thu at times. We are going in early Feb and have been watching for a DING. Nothing yet. Well, this a.m., just checked my regular flights and found them both down from $119/$99 each way to $62 for both sides of my travel...So, WITHOUT a DING, I saved $235 for 5 tix!
