We'll be at WDW June 7-11. Everyone in our group of 9 insists they don't want to do ADRs. Are all the TS restaurants already booked for dinner? We can split up if necessary. Considering the DDP but if all the evening TS are already full, I think the DDP might be a waste for us.

If I were you, I would call 407-W-DISNEY and go to the Dining prompt. Have a list of restaurants in mind before you call though. As the reservationist if there are any ADRs still available. If they are, I would go ahead and book the table. I would think that you could book the table and then go back and add the Dining Plan. You might have to eat a little early or a little late but you might still be able to get ADRs.

I booked my June ADRs back in January. I pretty much got the times I was looking for.

I'd go ahead and call and just check it out.

I would call soon if I were you. We're going June 9-14 and I called for ADRs a week ago. All of them are after 7pm and about half were after 8! You can always cancel if you get in somewhere that day. That's what the CM told us to do. Good luck!

Definitely call soon and be willing to split the group - slots for 9 will be hard to come by. We got our ADR's for June 5-12 in mid-April and had no problems, but it gets harder with more folks if you have a preferred time to eat.

Friends who went in June last year without ADRs said it was their biggest mistake; they could never get the restaurant or times they wanted.

With or without you using the DDP, the DDP encourages more TS meals by more people, cutting your options when you get there.

We were there 3rd week in June of 2005 and saw all kinds of people turned away from TS in MK. There wasn't a table to be had. We had one free night and ended up eating CS at CHH because we couldn't get in anywhere. I'd get an ADR asap anywhere you could. Break up party - you will probably need to.

Thanks for the update. Which ADRs did you get?

If you're willing to eat at the resorts, or DTD, you can probably find places. But the park TS are probably all gone, at least for evenings. Sometimes you can sneak into a TS lunch without an ADR.

I just moved an ADR for Portobello Yacht Club (at DTD) from 2 to 3:30 on Saturday for a party of 6. I could have picked anytime from 1:30 to 3:30 for that size party. But I wasn't trying a peak dinner time.

Not a waste, but at this late stage you have to be a little creative.

1) Eat at off hours. Like a previous poster said, try for 7:00 pm or later
especially if you don't have small children that have to eat at a certain time.

2) How about a late lunch TS then you could do your cs at dinner. We're not big fans of planning adr's 6 months in advance so my family will have a very light breakfast, do our biggest meal at lunch and then do cs for supper.
(Hey according to Oprah, this is the way to eat in order to lose weight)

3) If in the parks, definitely consider breaking up into small groups.

Good luck & happy dining

I am sure you can still get some reservations, but you will have to be flexible with your times. We are a party of 6 and I just made reservations for the second week of June, and the times I got were late lunch or early dinner. Also, I had no problem making a reservation for 8:30pm at Kona Cafe, so I'm assuming late dinner times work as well.

The only one that I had trouble getting was Ohana for around 5pm. The first time I called, there was nothing except for at like 8pm. The next day I called again and got lucky and got a reservation for 5:30pm, but our party will be split up.

Explain that you need ressie. Last year while in the park I just called and said I am in EPCOT and want to eat whe do you have? The CM said a few spots and I picked one.

Also tell them up front you can split up. They will only look for a table for all your party if you don't tell them you will split up. Many times I couldn't get a table for all (8) but then once we split up I could get most anything I wanted.:thumbsup2

Yeah, I've never heard of a case where every single TS restaurant was filled for a meal, even only a day before. However, you may have to ship-off to Coronado Springs Resort or one of the other remote and less popular spots to get accommodated.
