:welcome: Hi everyone! How are you? Do you feel left out on all of the cool "Community Leader" events that take place? Well, I do. It's not fair that people can't be treated like community leaders do, special, appreciated, and experienced. One day, I was sitting with a community leader and a girl comes up and asks the community leader a question. I ask if I can take another question for myself, but she said no and that I was not experienced. Not the community leader, but the girl. To all of you community leaders out there, congrats, you're lucky. I think to be one is everything, but I'll never be one. I want 2 become 1.

me too. I got banned for a day bc someone said I did something. All I did was say hi to ppl!

Yes, indeed, ppl get banned for no good reason. If I'd become a community leader I'd at least treat ppl right and stand up for them. Ppl think reporting is a game but it's really serious. :cheer2: I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels for this. lol :rotfl2:

I know... I applied to be a CL a week ago, no response. I'll tell you guys what it's like! ;)

It actually takes a while to get a response.

Well some people on VMK are just rude but one important thing of being a community leader is to be experienced.I think the girl was telling the truth unless you are experienced.

Community leaders also have to know all about VMK.

Becoming one will take patience and not complaining.I have applied a long time ago and I havent complained much. You also dont have to have the CL_ to help around in VMK.I have done it plenty of times.Even today!

You couldn't even apply a week ago. -.- Besides, people who say only leaders are experieced are, well, I guess foolish.

BTW,is this what you wanted to type, bluepopstar?

Well, to tell you one thing, be careful during the quiz and that vmk won't reply that soon.

Yes, shadow, that's what I meant. You see, I'm a newbie earning my ears. And this is bluepopstar, signing off. Have a good night/day folks! :hippie:

As a community leader I don't feel any more privileged than I did before I was accepted as one. I have not recieved any "special treatment". I have also never felt inclined to bring myself to believe that I am any more authoritative than another vmk player. I love helping out and enjoy the moments when I know I just made another player happy. I was able to do all that before I recieved the two letters before my title and quite frankly, I could do without making my name any longer lol.

What seems to make some people believe that community leaders are more reliable is the fact that those people have been evaluated by the staff members of vmk and were accepted as "knowing their way around vmk."

I would disagree with the people who only look to community leaders to assistance considering there are some players out there who probably know more than some leaders. However, not everyone thinks that way and there will always be those people who simply trust the "tested" players.

Don't become a community leader just to become more "popular" among the people who seem to wave away your words...that is not what the status is for.

Like I said before, I don't find myself treated any differently than any other player in vmk. I am here to help accordingly, make new and great friends, talk about what makes me a Disney fan and have some simple fun.

Mal is right, but if you mean they waste their time for credits to make a room to help staff - then yes they do that. I feel a little left out knowing I can't be a CL because I was banned once my second day on VMK, never sure why.

i feel the same as everyone else even though im not a CL. if i did become one i would not want special treatment

All of you are right. A community leader is someone whose been tested. They like to help. Cast members in a real disney theeme park don't get special treatment. I just know VMK very well.

I applied to be a community leader like...5 months ago! still no reply..I am waiting and waiting AND WAITING for a reply out of them. I hope I get it :teeth:

For anyone waiting still, please keep on waiting! I applied in january and only got my responce on monday.

There are no "Community leader" events, although CL's are invited to help out with the big events such as Choose your Destiny and the monster maze. But this is because we volunteer to do this; we don't expect any award for it. Staff may give us a little something for helping, such as a pin which is going to be sold in the shops the next day or nothing at all; we have no control over this.

CL_FrontierSuzy is completely correct in her post; we are players like you and so do not deserve any more or less treatment from other players. What is available to you is available to us.

Good luck for anyone still waiting, my sister didn't get in on her first go. If not, you can reapply in 6 days.

well... cast members kind of do. lol but everyone gets the point anyway

Remember, too that there is a downside to everything. Community Leaders are EXPECTED to know all there is to know about VMK. Learn everything you can. Know those VMK values like the back of your hand. Read the newsletter!! This is a biggie. People want to know the titles of the staff games and how to find them. Another downside is the constant trade request. You get used to them over time. I can't walk down Main Street without collecting at least 3 trade windows.
Never expect to receive special treatment or gifts from staff. You won't get them. All you get for being a CL is the title change and the leader badge.
If you applied a while ago and heard nothing, by all means re-apply after April 1st. If you received an email stating you need to spend more time playing the game, put in a few more weeks and apply again.
Personally, I love being a CL, most days. There are times I wish to just hang with friends and not have to answer newbie questions, but this is never possible. Remember that. You can't just turn off being a CL for even 5 minutes. It's a responsibility that needs to be taken very seriously.
Good luck!

ive gotten banned for 2 hours before cry i asked a boy if he was a kid
i regret it so much im kicking myself

Sometimes I thinkthat community leaders are stuck up and think that they are so good but they aren't that great. I have many community leader friends and they are great but then there are some community leaders who think that they are the best thing in the world but they're not. I would like to become a community leader but until everyone does don't be to jelous of it.
