My hubby wore the GoPro on his head for the aquaduck, the dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon, and snorkeling at CC. The head strap is great for snorkeling because its hands free.
I agree with the hands free for snorkeling. it is a long swim out to the lines to see the best stuff, kicking only. I used the floaty handle, which was fine, but I was always nervous about dropping the camera and it won't float for some reason. Those GoPro's are so tiny! We had a bunch of fun with it.
I'm getting such good info on Go Pro's in general & cool pics that I'm going to change the title to "All Things Go Pro on DCL." So we can keeping chatting & seeing these cool pics! Thanks everyone for sharing so many details!

Ill have to look. I usually don't use the Gopro poles for my Gopro. The only time I use it is at the parks since you cant have an extendable pole any more due to the actions of the few. On the ships, and diving/snorkeling I usually use a monopod that extends to nearly 7 feet. Ive gotten a lot of good pics and vids that way with fish and other creatures never knowing I was there. My wife thought I was nuts playing with a moray eel in Bonaire a few years ago with my Gopro. The other thing Ill use is the chest strap for the Aquduck and on the slides at CC.

Depends. Theres different versions. The UK Gopro handle that floats and is a monopod/stick folds to about 18 inches and extends to about 54. The one I have is from Targus, and extends to almost 7 feet, and collapses to about 24" ish. I got it at Walmart and the only thing you need is a Gopro tripod adapter. I put every arm that I had on mine so I could point the camera 180 degrees in any direction.
Looks similar to this except mines a Targus and was less then $20. The other advantage I have is that for something like the deck parties, and fireworks, I can stand next to a pole or something, run the monopod straight up, and video the whole show and not be in anyones way. ( I try to be as unobtrusive as I can) I can do the same thing snorkeling, where I can run out the pole completely, video a fish on the bottom, and never break the waters surface.
