All the tent campers out there

This is for all the tent campers out there... We got to the fort two weeks ago and when we arrived we showed up and got our site number. We went to our site to find people on it, and I called in. The said well we are sorry we are all booked up and will UPGRADE you to a perferred site. Okay hello we are tent campers, not only would the upgrade be wasted on us, there was no where to put the tent or hang the tarp. We had to laugh though just showed nothing in disney comes free..

So, what did you end up doing? Did they find a tent spot for you, or did you set up on the preferred site?

Even though they told me not to and told me they would not kick somebody off a site even though they were not supposed to be there, we went back out to the site again and I talked to the person. Turns out there was complete drama and it was about 3 before she finally got packed up and left. I called the front desk and they switched us back into the site. We are there for another week.. hey you do what you have to for the 1500 loop

I don't understand why one of the FW CMs would not have come and asked her to leave. If she was supposed to check out, then she needed to check out. No squatter's rights at the fort as far as I know. LOL I can't believe someone would hog a site like that. I know we are rarely out of our site by 11am, but we are never still there at 3pm. One time we did not get out until noon, but that was because our new popup was not cooperating getting hitched up. If someone had been waiting for us, I would have been so apologetic. I can truly understand how someone would feel about getting to FW and wanting to set up. Of course, my last day, I really don't want to leave either. The only thing that motivates us to get out on time is the fact that the earlier we pack up, the more time we have at DTD before we have to hit the road.
