Ok, so I think each park has a parade (I'm not sure if Epcot does anymore). Anyways, my boyfriend is not a parade person, so are we missing much by skipping the parades?

Well, what kind of person are you? I happen to enjoy parades. My kids love them.

Anyway, I think even adults enjoy the parades. I especially LOVE Spectromagic and the I also enjoy the Snowglobe (Share a Dream Come True) parade and the Stars and Motor Cars parades. I wasn't crazy about the AK one though. I don't think Epcot has one anymore.

Maybe you can try and compromise and fit one in, for me, it would be Spectromagic!

EPCOT- no parade
MGM- we skip this one...cute, characters in old fashioned cars "hollywood" type parade
AK- saw it once, wouldn't rush to see it again..."jungle" like safari vehicles with characters, some african drumming etc.

MK- 3pm parade, characters in big snow globes...really neat AND spectro magic parade and night...everything and everyone in the parade covered with lights...if you went to one I would suggest not missing this one...kind of special

Personally I LOVE the parades, I'd try to talk him into at least one parade. He'd probably like the Jammin' Jungle parade at AK. It's a really fun parade with music and those cool "stick" walker people. My BIL isn't into parades either, but he loved the one at AK.

Pretty good descriptions of the parades here already. I think if you can find one that might suit your interests, it may be worth a watch. Generally it's easier to find a good spot for an afternoon parade. Spectro, depends on time of year. Suggested to find a seat anywhere from 10 mins to 1 hour before parade.

My DH and I thought we weren't parade people either but happened to catch Spectromagic one night at MK and loved it! Our most recent trip to WDW we made sure we were in MK on Spectromagic night so we could see it again.

Happened to catch the Jammin' Jungle parade at AK and loved that too! I really liked the wooden "animals" that interact with the crowd along the way.

So now we're going to check out the other parades because, well, I think we've been won over at this point.

Give the parades a try, especially Spectromagic. Your BF just might be surprised. I can't imagine anyone could see Spectromagic and not be impressed by it.
