ok. i jumped the gun and call disney ressies to check the rates for january 2005. snice i cant get the online reservations yet( i am after all, 14 early LOL)...so assuming that the value seaon starts on jan 1.....and we would arrive on january 2nd, i sorta summed that we would get the 77$ /night rate.....NOPE she qouted 99$ + taxes and said that rate may go up since they dotn have 2005 rates yet. OK so i asked when they will know that rates, and she said they come out in summer the year before. i really really dont want o wait until summer to make the hotel reservations because i would be afraid they would not have any rooms avail....
but my biggest question is.why the 99$ instead of 77$? - she said thats what the computer gave her>?
so am i best off waiting a month or two until the online ressies advance to able to book 2005 cause i can get that 77$ on there- but i am sorat hessitant of online i like to talk to a live peson.. does that make sense?
so...the moral is we do not want to/ are not palnning on budgeting for a 115$/ nigt hotel room......
the good news of the day is our familys OFFICAL WDW vacation bank acct was opened today!

thanks for any help!

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm..........interesting enough. I would book it and you can cancel anytime, not to mention I am sure better rates will come out later. They do a mean rate, which is middle of the road for dates they can't pinpoint a rate quite yet. The Value resorts go from 77-124.

I booked my next trip (Feb 04) in March (03). I made my ressies for the Wilderness Lodge. Since the 04' rates were not available at the time, they quoted me rack rate and told me that when the rates were determined for my time frame that my ressies would be adjusted and any amount I paid over the one night minumum deposit would just be credited to my reservation. Sure enough, about mid summer, 04 rates came out and my ressie was updated. Maybe this is what they did to you. There is a good chance that the prices will go up in 2004/2005 as (I don't think) there hasne't been a major price adjustment in a couple of years now. Hope this helps some...
