We are leaving this weekend for our trip, and I just had a few questions! We are staying at ASMu. Do these rooms have VCR's with the TV's? And if not, can I bring one (or hook my video camera up) to watch videos? Also, they don't have coffee pots in the room, do they? Gotta remember to bring our own with us. When I made my reservation, I booked through Shades of Green, and asked for the Calypso section, would it be a good idea to call ASMu and put in a request for which section we would like? Do I just call them directly? We are planning on bringing our own pack and play for our son to sleep in, is there room in the rooms for this?? I think that's it for questions for now.. Thanks in advance!!!

...and not sure if you can hook one up...someone else should be able to answer that though...

There is room for the pack and play, it will be tight if you have a lot of luggage, but you will like the Calypso bldg. They are so close to everything, and definitely worth the little extra$/night. I took a toaster too, it broke up the cold cereal monotony for bkfst...toasters are available for guest use in the Food Court, but they can get a little busy

...just thought, I'm not sure if they would supply the pack and play from the resort....call and check, it would save transporting yours...that being said, I always took our own anyway

rauchfamily 3.......I don't have an answer to your questions, but we'll be there at the same place, same time, also using the military discount!

We stayed in Calypso last October. We actually were lucky enough to get an upgrade. It was great to be close to the main building and I was very pleased even though our room was on the parking lot side. Worked out great because we rent a car and we hardly heard any noise either.

They do not have coffee pots but you can get the refillable mugs for $10. These work out great for us even though we are not big soda drinkers. Even if you only get one and go and fill it up with coffee and bring it back to the room and share it. Might be worth it to just bring some paper coffee cups if your looking to cut down your spending. But if you drink alot of coffee, tea and soda it might be worth it to splurge and get the mugs. I love being able to drink out of mine at home. Nice adult souviner.

Me and DH took turns taking trips for our morning cup while the girls got ready in the morning. I don't function well without my morning cup.

I did find that the prices for breakfast were pretty cheap in the food court and if your not a big eater you could always get the child's portion. DD loved having chocolate chip pancakes.

You can hook up your camcorder to the tv. But you do have to bring your own cable. We have done this many times at All star movies and other hotels. I don't remember having a vcr at the Value resort. But, you should not have a problem hooking one up when you bring one. I would call the front at the resort and ask if there is a vcr in the room.

The Pack 'n Play fits nicely against the little wall between the dresser and the entrance to the sink area. Yes, if you want one of theirs, call and add it to your reservation because they will put "guaranteed crib" against your reservation ... otherwise it will be a first-come basis.

I did take a couple of my own fitted sheets for my pack 'n play because all they give you are regular sheets that you must fold and tuck under to fit.
