We have always stayed at a moderate or AKL during our past trips. This year with the FT package going on, it is impossible to get a good rate at
AKL. I have been checking and it is $199.00 a night, they won't budge. LOL Well I decided to try
the budget route for 2 nights. We will be using EE
and this was the best rate I could find on site. I
would appreciate and info from anyone that has
stayed at the All Stars. Any tips that I need to
know?

That is an AWESOME rate!!!!

We stayed at AS-Mo last month and enjoyed ourselves. Like you, we only stayed 2 nights, so we could enjoy E ticket night and EE mornings.

We did find that the lines for the busses in the mornings for the MK, if you don't get to the bus stop at least an hour prior to park opening were extremely long. That and being able to hear the toilets flush (which has happened to us in 4 STar resorts too) were the only complaints.

We thought that the pools were very nice (we actually used the Calypso pool at Music while we were there because of rehab on the Fantasia Pool at Movies), the theming of Music was very exciting, the food courts were good (good food, selection and nice castmembers), the grounds were clean and well maintained, our rooms were kept clean and neat, and we had no problems with check in. You will find the rooms to be a bit smaller, and you will only have one sink, and none of the bars of soap or shampoo that you get in the moderates or deluxes... but if you are just there to sleep and shower, I think that the All Stars will be just right!

We loved allstar music. My DD (18) wants to stay there every trip. :D

When are you going? We are paying $377 for 4 nights at the beginning of August, (AAA rate).

It will be for Sept. 20th and 21st. This must be
value season. I also used the AAA rate because I
could not find any codes this year. The moderates
were higher than usual so I went with the All
Stars. We will have a rental car and will drive
to EE to save time. I always wanted to try the
All Stars and could not pass up this rate. All the
info from the boards has been great. Thanks for
the wonderful help from your posts. Diane

Thanks for answering. That is a great rate. I was hoping for a code to bring my rate down a little, at least under $300.

This is my first time at the All-Stars too. I'm a little nervous about it. I just got so used to PO-FQ. So this is going to be a learning experience. If I like it, we might stay there next year too, as PO-FQ will still be closed when we go then. Or, maybe we can try Pop Century.

Relax everybody!!! I have stayed at all levels and at the values 3 times. The resort atmosphere is fun and energetic. The buses are great and the food courts are VERY nice and clean with lots of choices. The only differences are:

The rooms- they are smaller with less amenities. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner. Bring a travel size hairdryer and steamer or iron.Buy a mug for your coffee or bring your own 4 cup coffeemaker an coffee. I bring my humidifier and it blocks out ALL noise. I also bring my own pillow, since the pillows are so flat. With these two items I had the BEST sleep in my room at the ASSp!

The pool- no slide, but still a lot of fun. I get my usual drink at the pool bar and find a chair to lounge in.

I think you will be surprised at the landscaping and great details.
