Hey can anyone tell me about All Star Sports? I want to know information on busses, the rooms and the hotel. We just stayed the Pop Century in Dec and loved it.

I really wanted to know about transporation. Do the busses stop at other resorts? I had heard some things about the the soap and shampoo. Fill me in. Thanks

If you've been to PC you'll find AS Sports very similar. Sports buildings are three stories tall with rooms the same size as PC. The Main building (Stadium Hall) has all the guest services, food court, store, outdoor bar, arcade and bus stop. Probably the main difference you notice there is the store and food court area aren't combined.

As far as the busses go, I found them quite efficient during our stay in Oct 03. Most of the time, ASSp had its own bus. Once during our trip, the bus picked us up first and then went over to ASMu. The busses always pick up and drop off first at Sports if they are sharing with the other AllStar resorts.

I am here at the AS Sports right now. We are in building 7 very close to the food court. It isn't a bad walk to either pool.

I rode the bus yesterday since I am trying to conserve my gas due to the hurricane. The bus stopped at the other All Stars but it still didn't take long to get to Epcot. We were the first stop on the way back.

The bathroom has the dispenser for the soap. You may want to bring a bar for the counter sink.

Power has returned to my home so I will be going back to my own house today. AS Sports is very nice but there is no place like home.

We have stayed at All Star Sports twice now and LOVE it! We stayed in "Surf's Up" b/c it was closest to the pool and lobby. The food court is great fun and everything about it is "magical!" As for the soap and shampoo...they are in dispensers in the shower. So, it's something that's a little different than what most people have at home. Enjoy your trip! It will be great! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

All Star Sports has become our second home and with the various discount codes around, we usually get it for around $59.00 a night. We've stayed at over 12 of the Disney Resorts including several deluxe resorts. They're all very nice but we have found the bus service to be the best at the All Star Sports, we love the food court and you just can't beat the Goofy Pool. The Surf Building is considered a preferred building and cost a little more per night. We usually stay in the Football Building (Touchdown #10) and it's not too far a walk to the food court. If you don't want to have a long walk to the Food Court, be sure to avoid the basketball and cheerleader buildings. We've also stayed at Pop Century twice and it seems to us that the room is a bit smaller, however, the bathroom seems a bit larger. I think you'll enjoy it. It is very well kept up considering the amount of people who come and go. Have fun!:D

For S Prescott

I also request the football section. How far of a walk to the buses. My mom and day will be with us and I'm concerned about the walk. My mom has a bad hip that flares up sometimes. Is it about a 5 mim. walk? I hope so.

I'm not sure we will be using the pool since my husband keeps me and the kids at the park from opening until closing. He does not want to miss anything. The kids and I are fine with that. We are getting to be the same way.

What a bummer on the soap and shampoo. That was one of the things I loved about Pop. We stayed at Pop in Dec. the week it opened. I love the resort.

If I can switch to Pop for the $49 rate I will. They do not have any more rooms at the rate available when we are going.

If not I'm sure we will love All Star Sports as much.

You'll find it about a five minute walk to the buses from the Football Bldg. You can go right through the lobby and the bus station is right there. If you really want Pop, keep calling Disney. I know when we went down in April, the kids wanted to stay at Pop but we couldn't get it. While we were down there, we wanted to extend our stay and were able to get a night at Pop for $59.00. Sometimes, people make reservations and then cancel. Good Luck! What we've started doing is having the kids swim in the morning when the pools are virtually empty, and then head to the parks around 12:00 pm. Have a great trip!
