All Star Sports - YUK

We are tempted to stay at an All star to save money, but haven't becuase the pools do not have slides (a mandatory for DD) and no hot tubs (I love to soak in the hot tub after a long day at the park).

We stayed in AS Music a number of years ago and really enjoyed it. We have stayed in deluxe and moderate also. Between offsite and on site, I believe I would pick the All Stars over off site! I did find Disney Magic @ the AllStars!

Anne, I just love you! You crack me UP!!!!!! I just ABHOR the rooms at the AS! There, I said it!!! I think the furniture is soooo tacky!!! I would rather it be plainer and more subdued. The bedspreads are too busy and some of the light fixtures are just too ... I don't know.

As for the rest of the resort- the food court, pool, and bus service has not disappointed us yet. I would rather stay there than offsite.

That being said, we have three "value" trips planned for next year. I am looking forward to Pop Century and I haven't stayed at ASMu yet. The Sports is my least favorite because of the theme, but the surf's up area was "cute".

I've stayed on property three times. CBR, ASMo and ASMu in that order. I agree that if your are used to deluxe accomodations All Stars don't compare nor should you expect them to, but it gives those on tighter budgets the chance to stay on property and enjoy the benefits of doing so. I'm staying at a Deluxe this time, not because I can afford but because I got an upgrade after the POFQ closing. I had a termendous rate of $74 per night at POFQ and was upgraded to the Yacht Club for $30 more per night. So this trip I'm paying $104 per night for YC and payed $99 two years ago for All Star.
