All-star Sports Renovations

I have heard that Sports is being renovated, so I called to see if our buildings would be renovated by our stay, which is Sept 21-26 in Surf's up. The CM told me that there were no plans to renovate all of Sports that they just do buildings when it is needed. Has anyone stayed in Surf's up and what is the condition?

i was at sports in june..sufsup was fine...i was in building 7 ..football..it was all repainted inside and out..it was perfect..surfs up wwas in very good shape..i looked at it to see if it was redone ..it was great shape..donnt worrie..your fine..im going o pop in sept..for 6 days..i go every 3 months ..allstar sports is my favourt...but wife took pop why i donnt know..

how do you know which building you will be end?

I didn't think they assigned building until a few days before.

Does anybody know if they are changing the look of the refurbished rooms like they did at the ASMu? Or are they just sprucing up the old look? Is there any disruption or sign of the work being done? Not that it really matters... we won't be there till the end of October. Just curious. I do hope the surfs up pool will be finished as promised, though!

We had to get a preferred room b/c that is all that was available when we made our ressies. The perferred rooms are always in the Surf's Up buildings.

I would say they are definitely rehabbing the rooms. there are pictures here someplace of the new rooms.

When you make your reservations you can either have a regular room, or pay a little more for what is called a Preferred room. A preferred room is the rooms that the resort say are closest to the pool, bus stop, and food court. At All-star Sports the preferred rooms are in the Surfs Up area of the hotel. So, since we booked preferred rooms I know that we will most likely be in the Surf's up buildings.
