We will be at Disney July 17- 24. Which bldg at the ASSports is the best building without prefered view? How do you go about faxing them to request a specific room or bldg? How big are the refridgerators and are the really worth it? Has anyone gotten away with using styrofone coolers? Will they keep milk from spoiling. Any responds will be greatly appreciated.

I've stayed there twice and did not request anything . I got hoops hotel" twice. It ws very convenient and some rooms were closer than surf's up. Touchdown is also very close. See map at wdwig.com

We also liked the Touchdown, it's right next to the main building and the food court.

In prior trips, we just kept the small bottle of milk in the ice bucket and refilled it in AM and PM. It was still cold. Not sure how much milk you're talking about. I would imagine a cooler would be fine. Personally, I wouldn't rent a fridge.

We stayed in Home Run Inn -- Hoops is closer. The resort isn't very spread out, so you aren't real far away any where. There's only one bus stop, though.

Refrigerators are small and over priced. We always use a cooler (plastic not styrofoam) on any trip we do, and it works fine. I add ice every day and dump the melted water at least every other day. The ice bucket at All Stars is really tiny (an unfortunate budget move by Disney in my opinion), but I guess you could make it work if you needed to. Make sure to buy your milk in the gift shop instead of the food court -- big price difference!

I stayed at Sports once. Touchdown, bldg 9 I think. Very close to everything, loved it.

I've stayed in Touchdown building 10 twice and really liked it. We were right between the quiet pool and the main building.

We stayed in the baseball bldg. 2 yrs ago. I think it was the furthest away from the food court and bus stop, maybe 5 minutes. We brought a cooler from home (we drove this trip), as well as a small coffee maker and my old college hot pot. Our room looked like a mini kitchen, but it was well worth it. Except for 1 character breakfast, we ate in the room and saved lots of time and $$. The milk kept just fine. The money saved on sodas and water alone is definately worth the hassle.

Years ago, we flew, and bought a syrofoam cooler at a grocery store. This syrofoam cooler and hotel ice kept prepared baby formula cold and fresh.

I hope this helps,

We will be at the All Star Sports the same time! I requested the Touchdown building or the Baseball building. We have stayed in Surf's Up and the Tennis building before. I think the Tennis is one of the furtherist buildings from the "front" and yet it is still not far. I like the layout, the food court but LOVE the transportation---first one picked and first one dropped off!

We have stayed at tennis, basketball, surfs up and Touchdown.

Our favorite was Touchdown, but none of them were poor.

We always stay in Touchdown # 9 or #10. Convenient to pools , laundry, food court & parking lot. We like All Star Sports the best out of the 3 All star resorts. The bus transportation is better than the Moderates & Deluxe. We are going the 1st week of August. Has any one been recently & know if the refillable mug program is still the same? Thanks! Cathie
