Just wanted to update all who will be staying at sports during the food court refurb. I am here currently and they are doing much better than I expected to accommodate for the end zone being closed. The arcade has been completely wiped out of video games and replaces with refrigerators for cold items, including sandwiches and drinks. There are toasters set up as well. The refillable mug station is not self serve. There is a counter, you hand your mug to the CM and they fill it for you. Except for coffee which u do yourself. In room dining is available from 5pm to 1pm and is much more than pizza. The menu is displayed on the inroom TV. You can also get wings, salads, hot sandwiches, drinks, desserts, etc. The menu is quite extensive. I will post a screenshot later. Standard Disney prices plus $3 delivery fee and automatic %18 gratuity.

Thanks for the update!!! I will be there in the end of October and was wondering if there would be some wat to refill our mugs :)

Have you used the bus to go to ASMu or ASMo? Going next month with DD 27, DSIL, AND DGD 8.5 months. DD loves her Disney pasta, can't tell you how at trips that's all she wanted. Walking through parking with stroller not something she wants to do. We have adrs most nights which is why Sports is fine for us. We were booked ASMu first but switch to let FD guests have the space.

Really appreciate you taking the time to post this update! We are going in 1.5 weeks, and I hadn't really heard much!
If you get the chance to post that screenshot, I'd LOVE to see it! :thumbsup2

Was there a fridge in your room?

Enjoy your trip!

It only takes a minute to walk from one All Star to another. I would not wait for a bus. The busses do not really provide transport between the resorts anyway.

As for the bus- I need to clear up some of the rumors. There is an outside company - NOT Disney transport - who is handling the shuttle between sports and music. They make the rounds all day long. Wait 5 minutes and bam there's another bus. Also, it doesn't take a minute to walk from sports to music. Sure it wouldn't take AS long if u were in building 8 as opposed to building 1, but its probably closer to 7 minutes to walk. Factor in tired legs from being in the parks as well as Florida sun, and you will be happier to take the shuttle.

Also, refrigerators are being RECALLED at each all star resort. There is a notice on my fridge and it has been unplugged.

Thanks for the reports!:)

I have seen reports that the bus is ALSO going to Movies for Guests that want to use Movies' food court-have you noticed that?

Thanks.:)

Does anyone if that 18% gratuity added mean that you don't need to tip above and beyond that?

Just returned from WDW last night. I talked to a CM on Thursday and transportation to Movies is available for breakfast and dinner offerings.

YES the bus is also going to movies.

Per the gratuity question, I suppose you can always tip more than what is already being added to your bill, but you should not feel obligated to do so.

Correction: apparently the shuttles are only going back and forth between sports and music, not movies. Just asked the driver of the third party bus line hired to do the shuttling (horizon).
