Hello,
It has always been my dream vacation to go to Disney World! We are looking at staying at an all star resort mainly because we are on a tight budget and want to spend our money on other things. The question is this: of the all star resorts which one would you recomend. We are planning on visiting around the end of Jan - beginning of Feb. It will only be 2 adults (my husband and I) and we have never been to Disney before so we want to see and do everything. We will be at DW for about 7-8 days. Which is best for transportation, food, noise etc etc etc.

Thanks sooo much in advance just talking about it is so exciting!!!! :earsgirl:

I stayed at All Star Music last year and loved it! We didn't have any problems with noise or transportation and we were there in June when schools were out and crowds were bigger than what they might be in Jan or Feb. We had a really good experience. I have learned from this board that AS Movies is the last stop on the bus route so people at this resort are more likely to have fuller buses. This year we are staying at POP Century and according to other DISers they have their own bus so transportation will hopefully not be an issue. Good luck with your planning and have fun!!

Well for the best theming that is Disney related, I'd go with movies. It is really beautiful with all the statues of the best Disney movies.

However, if you prefer to be the first ones on the bus, I'd choose sports. The way the bus system works is that they pick up sports, music and movies last.

The rooms are all the same and the resorts are also alike food court wise. The pools have different themes though.

We are looking forward to trying out the piano one at music in july.

Have fun planning.

We have stayed in both All-Star Movies and All-Star Sports. They both were great resorts. The Movies was definitely the best themed and the kids loved it. However, when it came to transportation All-Star Sports was the better of the two since you were the first on and first off. One night when MK was closing... they had seperate buses for ASMO and Sports... Movies line was very, very long.. whereas.. Sports had 10 people in line. We got on the sports bus and walked to Movies... probably saved an hour or so in waiting. But would recommend either hotel in a heartbeat!

I have stayed at both ASMu and ASSp, with my first stay at ASMo coming up in Sept. Found ASMu to be the best from my experiences for an "all adult trip". Most families prefer ASMo for the themeing with ASSp coming in second. ASMu is my personal fav of the All Stars. Jazz is great because it's the closest to the food court and busses without paying for preferred. Next up is Broadway which has the best (and IMHO the most romantic) themeing. I think it's quieter since it's closer to the quiet pool and not directly on the beaten path. Also, request third floor - that way you have nobody above you!!!

HTH!!! :teeth:

We stayed at ASMo in early May and we loved it, we were in Mighty Ducks, which was not that out of the way, our room faced the pool on the second floor.. For the price you can't beat the disney magic it has. We are planning on returning in possible in Late fall and have decided on The POP Century, only for transportation reasons, ASMo was last on the bus runs for the All Star Resorts and have heard from the boards that transportation to POP is abit better. We had no issues with transportation, a bit slow to come home at night, but it was still great. We just want to give someplace else a try. Good Luck Planning, thats half the fun!

I am staying at ASmo starting this Saturday, and we have 7 adults and 1 child. We requested the Mighty Ducks buildings because no only is a pool at those buildings, but they are also right next to ASmu bus stops and food court. So, you could hop on over to ASmu and get on the bus there and beat the line at ASmo.

I think if it were just 2 of us going, I would probably stay at a moderate though. However, that extra fee of $10 per adult over 2 in a room is killer!

I've stayed at all the All Stars and POP as well. IMO, I think you would enjoy All Star Music best. It has a nice main pool--the 3 Caballeros are in the pool's center and everywhere you look your surrounded by different types of music, music notes, famous artists, etc. If I had to choose between them all I'd chose POP myself, but it tends to be a little noisey there. I'm not sure if that would be an issue for you. Besides that, POP is awesome. The theme is so fun and the bus transportation is the better of all value resorts, IMO.
