All Star Question about # of people

I know that the brochures for Disney all say that All Stars are for up to 4 people. My sister had suggested to me that she was sure that the 5 of us could easily fit in one of the rooms (she just got back 2 weeks ago). I know you are not 'supposed' to sleep 5 in that resort, but do people really do that? With my luck, if I tried to sneak a 5th person in, Disney would find out, then ban me from their resorts forever!

They are only for 4 people. The rooms are quite small and have 2 double beds.

I'm sure people do it, but I would feel so guilt wracked and worried about getting caught I wouldn't enjoy my trip.

I'd think it would be a pretty tight fit as well. We got connecting rooms when we stayed with 6 and were sure glad for the extra space and extra bathroom!

Several deluxe resorts sleep 5 with 2 queens and a daybed:
YC/BC, CR, AKL deluxe savannah and the Poly. I have heard some BW rooms have them but it is a childs daybed, the others are for an adult. We stayed at the YC last Sept and our room was just fine.

I know if the 5th person staying in a All Star room is a child under 3 in a crib then this allowed.

Given the picture on your post, your kids are a bit older. The AS rooms are small with very young kids. I think you'll find yourself crammed in and like others before me - the guilt would just kill me. My DH wanted to try and squeeze 6 of us in this trip. My kids are only 7,5,3 & 1 but I told him no way was I doing it.

You can probably be more comfortable in a mod if you can't afford the deluxe. POR has a trundle for a small person.

It's small...I would not want 3 kids and 2 adults for any length of time in those rooms. The beds are doubles, my husband and I can hardly sleep together in one, but my 7 yr old likes her own and she moves a lot at night. It's okay for 3 maybe 4, but 5 ? I wouldn't do it. And yes you would have to tell them there were 4 and live quilty all week.

I would go with a moderate. Like cart-mom stated, POR has rooms with trundle beds and they are a little more roomy. For comfort this is what I would do.

From what I have been told the limit of 4 per room at the AS resorts is so that they don't violate the fire codes. Mickey

Looks like we'll just continue camping in FW! I guess when you raise 6 kids in a 1 bathroom home like she did rolleyes: ), a room at AS looks spacious enough for 3 kids! I think I like FW too much to ever stay anywhere else anyway

Another thing to keep in mind is if you buy Ultimate Park hoppers they have to be on the room key. You wouldn't be able to buy 5 since you can only have 4 in the room. If you wanted them to have charging privileges you couldn't do it either.

They often run specials on the FW cabins for something like $159/night. Check www.mousesavers.com periodically if you are interested. With a discount maybe you could do 2 connecting rooms at the All Stars...

Well, this is my opinion. When I went with some cheerleaders, a few of them decided they wanted to have a sleepover. So five of them slept in one room. They said it was too small to work out, one of them ended up leaving and going back to her own room.
