All Star or POR?

OK, so I'm doing some research on Disney's site to prep for my phone call on Thursday, and CSR is booked every single thursday thru tuesday combo. So now I have a dillema...
CBR is out, since the pool isn't due to reopen until "Mid September", and I'm not a gambling woman!

So that leaves me with two choices
ASMovies..the only AS I haven't stayed at. And my kids are at the Toy Story age, and would probably get a kick out of the giant Woody.
But since this trip we're going to be there more days than there are parks, I don't really want a "just a place to rest my head" Plus the whole point of this trip is free dining...who wants a food court, right?

Or POR- also an unknown. But I've gotten used to not staying at Values...my last trips have been SOG, YC (an overbooked upgrade), and Coronado. So it would be nice to check out something new, KWIM? But its about $300 differnence, and I'm spliting the room with my mom, so I have to sell her the differnce too!

So which is your choice?

I'd choose POR. When we first started going to WDW 8 years ago, we stayed at the All Stars three years in a row(Movies was our favorite). We tried POP last year for 3 nights and it was okay but IMHO, there's a big difference between the values and the moderates. We've stayed at POR twice and are returning in Sept. with free dining. It's a pretty and quiet resort. We never had an issue with buses.

I like All Star Movies, but if you don't think that you would be happy there you might want to go with POR. I don't let the food court issue make my decision, because I generally don't eat at a place (other than the food court) more than once on my trip. For example, I'm not going to pay $300-$400/night to stay at the Poly just because I am going to eat there one night of my trip, KWIM??

I'd choose ASMo and reserve a room then continue to call to see if something opens up at CSR.

I agree. we have stayed at POR before but I prefer the values to it. Keep calling and see if there are any openings
