Has the entire All Star Music resort been refurbished? Does that include new beds for each room?

We paid for preferred rooms (not suites though) and need connecting rooms not adjoining. I know its a "request" for the connecting rooms but I was wondering-

Have the made the Jazz buildings a preferred room building in addtion to the Calypso buildings? I heard the the preferred buildings have been taken up with the new suites.

Did you find the Mousekeeping pretty clean?

Any room numbers in Jazz or Calypso you want to share that turned out be connecting rooms?

Thank you all!!!!!!

We just returned from All Star Music. We had a suite the first part of the week in the Jazz building and then moved to the Calapso building to a room that had a door connecting it to the room next door. We were in room 1447 it had a King size bed. Mousekeeping this week was just okay.

We were in a preferred room (Calypso building 10) and our room did have a connecting door to the room next to us.

As of right now, Calypso (buildings 1 and 10) is still the only preferred section of this resort. There are Family suites in both Calypso and Jazz and yes, since the suites are connecting rooms that have been converted, the amount of connecting rooms available is now limited; but a few are still available.

We were in room 0602, pool view, building 10, 3rd floor, steps from the elevator. As I said before, this room did have a connecting door to the room next to us. Here is a resort building layout map with room numbers and showing which rooms "used" to have connecting doors. Theres a FAQ about the family suites that might give you a better idea of which rooms have been converted.

Thanks Willcad :thumbsup2

We had flawless mousekeeping out entire stay but this has always been the case no matter where we stay on Disney property. We recieved towels animals almost everyday and even turn down on our last night :cloud9:

Just got back Tuesday from a week at ASMu.

Room was refurbished, liked the new furniture, carpet, two-tone paint etc.

Was disappointed that the mattress/boxspring was old. I even pulled the linens up and looked at the delivery tag still attached "Disney Music deliver 5/28/04". The write ups I had seen about new pillowtop mattresses had me excited........but alas I slept in a dip in the bed.

Mousekeeping for us in Broadway was EXCELLENT. Not fast, but they did an awesome job of cleaning completely for us and lots of towels. Arrived to a towel Mickey but nothing after that. We did have "turndown" when they cleaned the room later in the day.

Oh my gosh Thank you all so much!!!! You have no idea how much this helps.

Too bad about the beds though-you would think when they refurbish a resort they replace the beds.

We really need those connecting rooms its important for one of the kids needs.

Divawife, will there be an adult in both rooms? If the second room will be for kids only, they should be able to guarantee connecting rooms. Anyone please correct me on this if I'm wrong but that is what I've always heard. Hope this helps.:)

Crusoe2-thanks for the information, I'll find out because yes, the plan is for the kids to be in their own room.

Thanks for the map Typhoonlagooner! That is so helpful and awesome!!!! I see its for All Star Movies not Music but it looks like the All Stars have the exact same layout just insert the name? You rock!
