All Star Music vs All Star Movies

Hi,

We've been to POP a couple of times, but we've never stayed at an All Stars. Sports doesn't really interest me so I'm wondering which do most people think is better All Stars Movies or All Star Music and why?

The movies appealed to us more just because it felt more like we were submersed in Disney there. We stayed in the Fantasia building and liked it very much. Bad thing was we were the last to get dropped off on the bus.

We've stayed at POP, Movies, Music, and Sports. To be honest, they are pretty much the same except for the themes. The kids have loved them all. When the kids were younger (5 and under) we tried to stay at Movies whenever we could because they enjoyed the giant Toy Story, 101 Dalmations, etc. stuff. Last year when we were up there at Port Orleans, we were over at Music to meet some friends. The kids LOVED the pool at Music (Three Caballeros), so we decided on Music for our short vacation this October. My kids are happy anytime we're at WDW, and they are happy wherever we stay on-property.

We liked Movies over Music, having stayed at both... although, Pop is our favorite of the value resorts. Between Movies and Music, I guess it would depend on the age of your children and your interests. Movies is all about - movie memorabilia - with tons of Disney influence. Music, well, is music memorabilia. IMHO, Movies is much more appealing if given the choice. Of course, I would never turn down a Disney vacation, no matter the resort! Have a great vacation!

I've only stayed at Pop as well, but my second choice would be Movies. I am debating on staying there next trip.

I have stayed at both and love both. But my fave is Music as I find it a little quieter. If you have kids though, I think they would enjoy Movies more due to the theming.

I voted for All Star Movies because i like to stay there.

I voted for the Music because I really find it more relaxing than the Sports and POP.
If you have younger children, I think that they would enjoy the Movies better though.

Love Music, Its been newly refurb'd and the rooms look great, especially love the curtain between the bed area and the vanity area. More privacy for changing clothes. Also the new games that they are playing by the pool during the day and evening, plus a movie at 9:00pm. Definitely take a resort day to hang by the pool. It was great seeing Dads dancing with their kids. The games were fun too. They played a scavenger hunt game (whomever brought up a certain item first), plus other games including Bingo (a dollar a card) prizes were Disney games and DVDs.

we really like both places also. i think the music might be a little quieter, although we have been usually end of august, so its still pretty crowded. i know a couple of times the movies had more on the dinner menu than the music. they had a couple of spots where they had steak,chicken,etc than at the music. we asked why, along with alot of other people. dont remember the reason though. we also stayed last summer in the music suite. it was really nice. i loved having the 2 bathrooms, and i like to put tv on for a little bit at night, so that worked out good for having a sep. bedroom to. but i think you will like either one. plus its only a 2 or 3 min. walk to visit the other.

I just stayed at ASMu and I really liked it. Here's what I liked - it was right in the middle of the All Stars so it made it easy to visit both Sports and Music. The theming was fairly subtle and the landscaping was attractive. It didn't seemed nearly as crowded or hectic as POP. I like the theming of the piano pool. It was quiet and had nice landscaping. It felt more like the quiet pools at the mods. I felt I could really relax there. I hated the POP pools because they were much too crowded.

I also thought Movies was cute, but since it is such a hit with youngsters, I didn't pick it. Not that I don't like kids. They are super cute, but I rather not have to walk around them. I rather be in a setting with more adults.

I actually though sport was pretty cute, too. I thought the basketball building was the best themed in all of the all stars.

Bottom line - this complex is so cute. I wouldn't hesistate to stay in any of the all star resorts. I liked that they were smaller and quieter than POP and the theming was great in all of them.
