All Star Music standard Room

What would be a good building to request for a standard room in All star Music. Thanks in advance.........

Jazz is closet to the Main pool, food court and bus stop that is notpreferred location.

The broadway buildings are nextto Jazz and they are a nice location also.

All Star Music is my favorite Disney owned hotel.

Just an FYI

The Calypso buildings are the preferred buildings and cost $12 extra a night.
I always pay extra to be in the Calypso buildings.
Since I have limited mobility it is important to me that room is near the main pool,foot court, and bus stop.

We preferred Pop Century over the All Star Music. Newer, nicer, better shuttles.

I agree with requesting Jazz - that's my favorite location. Pretty much anything but Country, which is the farthest away.

She was asking about ASMu buildings, not POP. Also, since the complete refurb of all rooms this year, ASMu is now getting better reviews than POP.

We've requested Broadway for our upcoming trip, due to info I've read on here.

I agree. All Star Music is getting good reviews.

Music has added games and contests by the pool in the afternoon and has movies by the pool at 9 PM.

All Star Music started showing the movies the beginning of this Summer.

As we noted on last week's MousePlanetWatch news podcast, We've gotten a couple of reports about the "something special" that we were told to keep our eyes out for at All-Star Music and Yacht & Beach Club. At All-Star Music, we've heard that folks have found karaoke sessions for dance parties near the pools, a nightly movie by the Calypso pool and in increase of staff to make it easier for guests to find assistance. ......

Sever DIS'ners have posted about the games and movies. here is quote from a fellow DIS'ner:

We were there July 10-19th in Calypso.
I thought the new rooms were great! Loved the peg board to hang hats etc... My parents had the handicap/king room and they loved it. Housekeeping was good.......

Besides the evening fun, in the afternoon they played games with the kids. Hula-hoop contests, musical chair type game, hit a target with a beanie and someone gets wet with a water balloon and a "Guess the song" game. The kids could win prizes like Twister or a Super Soaker etc....Adults could play too, but it was mostly kids playing.

All Star Music is my favorite Disney owned hotel.

I love this idea! When we went in 2002 and 2003, they had the "bedtime stories" on TV, and I thought that was really special. My kids loved listening to them at night after the parks -good way to wind down.

Now, with the difference in my kids' ages, I'm sure the older boys would love to watch a movie by the pool - if the baby needs an early night.

Anybody know if this was just a summer thing? (we have a trip planned for November). Would there be a list of movies somewhere?

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for all your input. I have never stayed at All Star Music. We like to try them all! (value, moderate, delux and even DVC!) I been to All Star Sports, and to the Pop twice and enjoyed them both. We could only get a discount at All Star Music so I thought we give it a try!
