Hi guys, me again. You've been so helpful with my daft questions so far! :thumbsup2

I know I'm not going till NEXT year, but I got the 2009 Brit's Guide, and have been flicking through, and making plans at a leisurely pace, before I have to do it seriously in January when the park hours and ADR nonsense starts.

Anyway...
In the wee blurb in the accommodation section about Disney Value Resorts, Simon and Susan mention that ASMu has converted some (all?) of their rooms to 2-room suites to sleep up to 6, with 2 bathrooms and a kitchenette etc...

Nothing AT ALL mentioned about this in the Virgin Holidays brochure, or on the VH website (we're traveling with VH...) And the Disney site seems to be having "maintenance" when I try to look on that one.

Does anyone have any more info on these bigger rooms? Like how much over the regular price do they cost? And do you know if they are available through VH?

TIA for all your help... :grouphug:

you're talking about the all star music family suites :)
Another advantage to the All-Star Music is the availability of Family Suites. The 520-square-foot Family Suites are located in the Jazz Inn and Calypso buildings at All Star Music, reservations are now being accepted. Rates in the rate table below.

Each suite will sleep up to 6, plus one child in a Pak-n-Play crib. The master bedroom and family room have a 27" flat screen TV as well as high speed internet access. There is a queen bed (sleeps 2), full-size pullout sofa (sleeps 2), convertible ottoman and chair sleeper (sleeps 2). The kitchenette will have a microwave and small refrigerator (4.3 cubic feet) plus a coffeemaker. There are two full bathrooms.
there's some info and rack rates on here:

i'm not sure if VH has these, they may be able to book them but you might have to call them, if not you can book through the US website for definate

It was available through VH when I booked last May for this summer. I chose 2 rooms instead as it worked out a little cheaper (and I got 4 real beds.) Once I'd selected All Star Music it was one of the available room types.

I've just had another look and it seems as though VH have now lumped all the All Star Resorts together with no sign of the suite. It might be worht a phone call.

Thanks for the info guys! :thumbsup2

It was worth a thought, but at over the double the rack rate, it's just gonna be way too far above our budget I'm afraid :sad2::sad1:

We'll stick to a standard room at Pop Century I think!

I was hoping they'd be cheaper than 2 seperate rooms - but I suppose they are really 2 rooms knocked into one with the addition of a kitchenette area so it makes sense that they are dearer.
