Is the Calypso building (building 10) at All Star Music now *all* Family Suites, or is it a mix of suites and regular rooms?

Thanks in advance for the information!

it's a mix of suites and rooms from what I noticed when we were there early Jan.

We were in the Calypso building in Sept/October and I can confirm that there are regulars rooms there in addition to the family suites.
I would suspect that there are more regular rooms than suites, at least that was my observation as I was walking around.

I thought the suites were in the Jazz Inn, not Calypso. We were in a regular room in Calypso last Sept and didn't notice any suites.:confused3

There were regular rooms when we stayed there in December. We just loved it there and our Calypso building room was in a good location!!

There are 196 rooms in each of the 10 buildings.
Each Suite takes up 2 reg.rooms.

The Family Suites are located in the Calypso and Jazz Inn Buildings.
Calypso Building 1 has 32 suites
Calypso Building 10 has 54 suites
Jazz Inn Building 2 has 52 suites
Jazz Inn Building 9 has 54 suites

I have requested connecting rooms and am paying for the preferred buildings.

Does this mean that there are no longer connecting rooms in the preferred buildings because they seem to converted them into suites?

Anybody been there very recently and noticed both connecting rooms and suites in the Calypso buildings/preferred buildings????

I'm kind of concerned right now. We need both connecting and to be close to transportation for some health issues.

They still have connecting rooms in the Calypso buildings.

I stayed in one last September. Ours was a handicapped accessible king room that connected to a room with 2 double beds.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

For those of you who stayed there in Sept. last year. How busy did the resort seem? I'm thinking I may need to add a preferred location to my registration.

We were there the end of September, the resort was not mobbed by any means but there were a lot of people there. We paid the extra $ for the preferred building and I was glad we did, it was nice being so close to the main building.

We were there from 9/13 to 9/25. It was crowded but not mobbed. We had a wonderful time. We were in Country Fair and the walk was not real bad, but we decided to pay for preferred this year and we have requested Calypso. The buses were hit or miss. Sometimes we would be waiting for over 20 minutes...sometimes the bus was there when we walked out. We'll be renting a car this year so that we don't have to deal with the buses at all. In our experience, traveling with two preschoolers and a double stroller can be a nightmare while using Disney transportation.
