All Star Music or Pop Century

Hi,

What in your opinion is the best Value resort. We are trying to save more of our money for the disney fun. I'm really going back and forth, as I've read many reviews pro and con on each.

Which is the best buildings to stay at in either,

Most important for us is a quieter building, near laundry and pools.

Which resort has the best, least crowded buses.

I prefer Music
what I like
buses run constantly (yes might share but there are alot)
newly refurb'd
food court (Pop's looks nicer, I just don't care for their selections)
Pop has 920 more rooms(more rooms more people)
Pop and Movies are more popular so Music is quieter, faster check-in times


At Pop a good bldg selection is 50's it has the quiet pool and laundry room right there.


At Music hard choice we prefer Jazz, right in the middle of everything without paying preferred. The washer and dryers are always by the pools use the one by the quiet pool its always less used. One time at Movies there was a huge wait for people doing laundry, I went to the quiet pools location and no one was using the machines at all. Also use small zip lock bags to bring detergent from home. I pack them into the shoes so I know it doesn't get squoshed(sp) and avoids over paying at the vending machines.

I prefer the values.

I like the food courts at the values for a quick grab and go breakfast on the way to the parks.

I like the fact I can pay for a preferred location and know I will be close to the main pool. food court, and bus stop.

I enjoy the theming at the values. I love seeing the children having fun getting squirted by Three Caballeros (Donald and friends) at the All Star Music pool.

BTW:

All Star Music is my favorite resort. It tends to be the quietest of all the values.


All Star Music just underwent a refurbishment of all of the rooms and was completed in June 2007.

I've stayed at both and definitely prefer Pop. The walk along the lake is beautiful and where else in WDW can you get a room with a lake view at the standard price? Plus you can see some fireworks too! Most of my trips I've been in the 50's section. I've had room 3313 twice!

The bus system has always run efficiently (knock-on-wood) and all the CMs I've dealt with were excellent. Of course, there is no bad place to stay in WDW, so you will have a great time wherever you end up!!
