All Star Music in mid-late October

Hi all!

Anything I should know about All Star music during October that might make me consider switching resorts? We've never stayed at an All Star before (stayed at AoA x 2, AKL, Port Orleans, Contemporary), but we're trying to keep costs as low as possible this time. We won't be in the room all that much anyway, so I'm thinking it'll be just fine for us to crash. Two adults to kids - 7 and 4. Thanks so much!

Yes. Not just in October, but any time of the year, especially given your group size, you may want to consider Pop Century or All Star Sports Resort.

Assuming all three resorts are available and have similar pricing, there's one thing you must keep in mind: buses.

Pop Century has its own bus line, as does Art of Animation. The other value resorts all share the same bus line, at least on the way to the parks. I've stayed at all three, and I can tell you if I can't get Pop, my first choice is sports, because it is the first stop on the bus line, so assuming you're not at the back of the line, your entire party should get on. During my stays at Music (2nd stop) and Movies (3rd stop), I've seen buses come and take 5 or 7 people then leave. Some are full and don't make it at all. One time while staying at Sports, we waited 45 minutes to get on a bus to MK, and it took 5 buses before we got on.

Food for thought, especially with the little ones.

Thank you! I hadn't considered the bus situation. We will have a car, so we typically drive to the parks, but there will be certain times when we won't, so that is really good to think about. The price difference right now between Music and Sports is like $20 per night, but that's more like $100 per night Canadian...I kid, I kid, but it is like $25 or $30 Canadian, so it'll add a couple hundred to our stay. Based on your feedback I'll watch the prices and give it some more thought. Thanks so much!
