We are staying in the family suites at the All-star Music resort. Our plan is to have breakfast each day inside our room. Our kids usually eat cereal only so this should work. Is there a grocery store near by where we can buy the cereal breakfast essentials: milk, plastic bowls, cereal etc...? I was not planning on renting a car so it needs to be within walking distance.

Also, has anyone stayed in the family suites before? How will it be for 2 adults and 4 kids 11 and under?

Thanks.

Since times is money, esp. at WDW, I would just place an order with an online grocer and have it delivered to the resort. I don't think that anything is very close, and for the most part, if it is within walking distance, it is most likely very expensive.

Hope this helps!

We were there in Aug and ordered from Garden Grocer and bell service held our perishables and brought bottled water and all our other non perishable groceries to the room while we were enjoying the parks. This worked out great for us. If the kids had gone to the water park and come back there was sandwich makings for them and they were a little higher than a regular store. They do charge $12 for delivery for orders under $200.

Thank your for the great information! I think this will work perfect for us.

I also found a company called wegoshop dot com.
Does anyone have any experience with them?

thank you

We stayed here in October, 2 adults in the "bedroom" and 2 adults and a 10-year-old in the "main" room. Plenty of room for a family of six. Nice to have two bathrooms, two TVs and the kitchenette!

I got Mickey Waffles breakfast to go (carried in paper bags) from Intermissions at the resort a couple mornings. They will help you do up covered containers of things like syrup to carry back to the room. They have styrofoam bowls and probably plastic bowls available, plastic utensils, etc.

They sell milk by the pint too, I believe, and juice, individual boxed cereals, fresh fruit. The prices on that stuff is okay but the baked goods (muffins, etc.) were kind of expensive.

I wonder if the cost of getting groceries delivered vs. the bit extra you may pay for breakfast milk and cereal at the resort cancels out?

We've used GardenGrocer several times and they are great! The resort does sell some grocery items in the gift shop, such has 1/2 gallons of milk, 2 liter bottles of soda, bags of chips, beer, wine, dips, boxes of donuts and pastries. They are priced at a premium though, so it really depends on how many days you are staying, the size of your group, and how many meals and how much snacking you plan to do in the room or at the resort. We normally get grocery delivery for our family of 3 if we are staying at least 5 nights.
