All Star Music -- getting a massage

I wanted to treat my husband to a massage while we're at WDW starting 8/26. We're staying at the All Star Music resort -- do they offer massage services that come to your room?

Or is there an easy-to-get-to spa type service at Disney (where we DON'T have a car, and would be relying on Disney transportation)???

Thanks for your input in advance!

Hi, I've stayed at ASMu and I can't say I remember anything like that! And I would say probably not - after all their room service consists of pizza only - so this isn't exactly a 'full service' resort. But don't worry, it's very clean and everyone is friendly - a nice place all in all.

You can probably head over to DI (Disney Institute) for a massage. As far as the distance goes, I'm not really sure on that one.... I'm sure there's a link on this site or the WDW site to give you a map of the land.....

have fun!

I would head over to the Grand Floridian Spa for a massage. Very convienient to the MK, so I'd take the bus over to the MK and then either the boat or monorail to the GF. If you're getting a massage also, I'd recommend the couples massage. It's the same as a regular massage except for the fact that the door between you and your husband is open and it's like you're in the same room.

Saratoga Springs Resort (formerly Disney Institute) Spa is closed until the new DVC resort opens. I think that's in April. Go to GF Spa. It's great.

I don't believe that any Disney resort offers in-room massage; at least not officially ;) :o . DW will be going to the GF Spa; we've heard many good things about it and their list of offerings is quite large - more than many of the Las Vegas spas she's been to.

I would call Sarasota Spa as i believe from other post i've seen on this board that they will pick up and drop off if you arrange this in advance with the front desk of your hotel. Let all of us know if the above is true as i want to do the same for my DH.

Check with Guest Services at your resort for transportation. Spa appointments include free transportation to and from the resort. (Usually, it's a voucher for a complimentary cab ride, gratuity included)

I know that at the AKL you can get a massage either at the fitness center or in your room. I believe they charge you $20 or so more if they come to your room.
