All Star Music FAQ thread and tips

Thank you both!! :worship:

We are flying and using ME so no way to get it before checking in. I was considering using GG but with the delivery fee tacked on I'm sure the store would be cheaper.
Anyone know what other type of 'groceries' the store offers?
in all honesty I don't remember much being in there,we drive so we always get what we mainly need at Walmart before checking in, I just remember the milk cause we had run out and needed some and it was there. I do remember the food court having a little section that had fruit and sandwiches, drinks(soda, water and juice) and such, hope that helps??!!

We bought milk and bagels and cream cheese at the store and toasted the bagels at the food court's toaster ovens and voila! had breakfast! It wasn't cheap as a supermarket but it wasn't outrageous either. Cheaper than buying breakfast.
Question for all of you ASMu'ers out there - what is the tune that the notes on the front of the buildings (and at the reception desk) play?????
Thanks!

Can anyone tell me if there is a place that you can use one of there computers to quickly check your emails?

There isn't any such place at ASMu. We also did like tripplanner2 and brought our laptop. We would pay for 24 hours svc., check/send our emails and repeat 23 hours later. Then repeat the next day. That way you can use the internet for two days while only paying for one. ;)

The 4 cup coffee maker that was with it got broken. Anyone who will be using the fridge is welcome to add a kettle or coffee maker to the swap. One of the upcoming swappers had mentioned trying to get a coffee maker for the swap...I will post when I know if that happened.

I apologize if this question has been asked already, but I was just wondering if anyone that has stayed in the family suites at ASMu could tell me if there was a fan in the bedroom (like a wall unit found in many hotels)? My DH and I sleep with a fan on every night for white noise, so I was just wondering if this is something I will need to pack. Thanks!

Excellent question! We sleep with fans for white noise, too. I hope someone can answer this.

I'm subscribing...I am also wondering about the white noise! My kids need it to fall asleep !!!!

Hmmm...well, maybe I need to look on a different DIS board for the answer. Maybe this is an old thread that doesn't get a lot of action lately? :confused3 I'll see what I can find and post the answer on here for you ladies that were also curious about the fans! :)

Well it's been a bit, but here goes. There is a bathroom fan that operates on a timer. I believe it can be set for 30 minutes (I could be way off here, might be 45, might be 60). There isn't a wall fan like in hotels. There's a vent located on the wall near the ceiling for the air conditioning but I never noticed much noise from it. Your best bet might be to just go to Target or Walmart and get yourself a white noise machine. But then again, there's no sleep like Disney sleep. I often have trouble falling asleep... but never in WDW! :lmao:

Thanks a bunch for the info. ! I ahve a feeling that you are right and that we will be so exhausted that we will fall asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow! I might look at a white noise machine anyways since my DH stays in hotels a lot for his job and often complains that he could've used a fan or something to help him fall asleep. :)

Hey!!! Big Diz fan right here<------------

Hope & I are going at the end of Feb. '10

They play DVD movies daily by the pool. Do you know the link or whatever of the flicks that play daily or monthly??

Have a great day!!!

You should be able to buy a small kettle for $10....you can leave it with the fridge and then you will have a litttle extra space in your luggage for souvies.

I have a travel size kettle that I love but it was rather expensive. Although, it has now more than paid for itself....I think it has been on about 25 trips. You can find this type of kettle on numerous websites. It comes with two plastic cups that stack and then fit inside the kettle. The whole thing is inside a draw string bag.

Will I be disappointed? The food court at POP was pretty good, but I think I read on one of these threads that the ASMu food court is smaller.

We loved the food court, I loved the salad station and we actually liked it much better than the POR food court that we stayed at last time.
