All Star Music Family Suite or Ft. Wilderness Cabins

We planned on staying in the Ft. Wilderness cabins for our trip at the end of April, but I wanted to consider All Star Music, too.

We enjoy the cabins for the quiet get-away-from the parks. We don't have to worry about the noise level or our children. (Or, others for that matter.) We usually eat breakfast in the cabin. We always rent a car, so transportation isn't an issue.

On the other hand, the All Star Music Family Suite has 2 bathrooms, queen bed for hubby and I, and is $400 less. And, it is something different.

Our children will be 14,12,10 and 8 at the time. I have read the FAQ about the Family Suites, so I guess I am looking more for preferences. Any thoughts from those who have tried both?

This is going to be your biggest difference.

At All Star, you will have close neighbors, which can be good or bad. You may find your neighbors too noisy, or you may find yourself constantly worrying that your kids are too noisy. You will only have a kitchenette instead of a full kitchen, so if you are used to cooking breakfast instead of having some sort of instant stuff, you may be disapointed. Also, there is less table space for dining in the suite than in the cabin.

However, with four kids, having two bathrooms can be VERY convenient, and having a private bedroom is nice too.

I would weigh the value of the two bathrooms and queen bed against a noisier environment and reduced dining capability/capacity, then go with which ever one will suit your family best. Really, they are both good choices, just different ones.
