All Star Music - adjoining rooms vs suite?

We’re thinking/hoping to return to Disney this summer, and we’re considering staying at All Star Music (been to Pop and Sports, a long time ago). This time, our kids are teenagers, so we’ll need a little more space. What do you recommend- adjoining rooms or a suite? Pros/Cons?

Thanks!

A suite would have you all in the same rooms. Not sure about the bedding - even when my sister and I were teens we had ONE regular room for the family, so...?

Adjoining could be next to each other, back to back, or around the corner - but separate.

(If you mean rooms with an internal door between them, that is Connecting Rooms in hotel parlance. Adjoining means close/next door but NO internal door.)

I am having the same dilemma. We decided for the two adjoining or connecting rooms. 1) it was 850 cheaper two rooms versus a Family Suite; 2) we normally don’t cook on vacation, just maybe some breakfast and snacks so we don’t need the microwave that comes with the Suite. Plus my kids are teenagers and one is adult, so it wouldn’t bother me that the rooms are not connecting.

The pros about the family suite are that there are 3 queen beds, 2 of which become a sofa and table/chairs. During the day you have a living room with a t.v instead of always lying on the beds. There is a kitchen with a full size fridge, sink and microwave for meal storage and prep. The value of this is different with everyone so it depends if you will be ordering groceries and planning on meals in the room. Then, of course, you all get to be together in the same space but the second bedroom has a door for privacy and its own full bathroom. Also, keep in mind that all suites are in the preferred buildings so much closer to the food court and busses.

With 2 rooms you are not guaranteed to be connecting or even adjoining although they will try. For the pros you get 4 queen beds instead of 3 so potentially no sharing and usually it is less expensive than one suite. It will cost extra if there are more than 2 adults in one room or if you want a preferred location like where the suites are.

Edit: If you decide on 2 standard rooms know that they are all the way in the back and because Music is a rectangular shape this means quite the walk each day. In that case I would check out Sports or Movies where the standard rooms are a more reasonable walk.

Hey there! Just returned yesterday (*womp womp*) from our WDW trip where we stayed at All Star Music in a family suite. Our kids are only 8 and 9, so things are a little different, but we loved the family suite. Having the little kitchenette area was a huge help for us, as we limit our dining experiences to about 2-3 a trip, so we utilized that well on this trip. We spend most of our time in the parks, so we're only really in the hotel for the early mornings and then in the evenings (my kids aren't park closers), but it was great for us. It'll be hard to go back to a traditional hotel setting after doing a family suite.

Good luck to you with making the right decision for your kiddos! Man, I can't imagine mine being in a hotel room next to us.. I don't trust them that much!! But me, as a teenager, I would have loved having that privacy to chill out and have some quiet time away from everyone in an adjoining room. Super Introvert over here. ;)
