All Star Movies

Looking for as much info as possible - about All Star Movies. Good and Bad. Planning to stay in January 2008 and am still undecided on which resort but am really leaning toward ASM- cheaper and I think my 2 year old will love the decor more there than at a Maderate, but am afraid the room will be too small, etc. It will just be three off us.

all the values are the same size. so 3 people will be fine.
2 double (full) beds. one sink. (moderate has 2 sinks generally).

no slide, no hot tub.

nice food court.

If you do decide to stay at All Star Resorts, we have free fridge, coffee maker, toaster, elec kettle swap going on. January 2008 is completely open, if you know your dates, send me a pm and I can reserve fridge for you. Cost through disney is $10 per night plus tax.

About the resort, all star movies is excellent, rooms are not much smaller than the moderate resorts and the theming is amazing. Price difference will be quite noticeable between the two resorts and in January you get value pricing so it's a great deal.

Hi and welcome to the Dis!! You will love this place!!
As you can see from our signature, we are no experts on Disney, we have only been 3 times, but I can give you some help on your question.
We stayed at CBR our first trip and found the resort to be very nice, however, we never used the main pool (slide), TS restraunt, or water "toys" that they had available. These are all things that moderates have that the values don't. So that is why we switched to value and ASMO for our last 2 stays. If you are like us and only use the resort to sleep and shower then you will be fine at movies. There are only three of us as well and we had plenty of room(really could not tell a big difference from CBR).
Also, as PP said, the food court is great and the theming is totally Disney (Great for your 2year old)
You will get many tips from these boards but one that we have used both times at movies is, unless you want to stay preferred for the building themes (Dalmations,Toy Story and Fantasia) then stay in the Mighty Ducks building and use ASmusic food court and bus stop! This is the best kept secret about the resort in my opinion.
